Photos and Description of this Indre-et-Loire holiday cottage Rural, romantic and tranquil cottage close to many great châteaus and vineyards.

In the heart of The Loire Valley (30 minutes from Tours) this house is set in 4,000 sq metres (1 acre) of gardens that run down to river frontage with views over open countryside. The house is in a tiny, peaceful hamlet a 10 minute walk from the small village of Chambourg Sur Indre. A further 10 minutes away by car is the charming medieval town of Loches. The area is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, sleepy villages and a huge choice of châteaus to visit. In the village there is a small food shop, butchers, bakery and restaurant. Supermarkets are 10 minutes away. The house has large rooms and high ceilings. As you open the wooden shutters all rooms have views of the garden. There is a large terrace shaded by a huge weeping willow.

Nearest Airport: Tours at 30 Kilometres
10 minutes from beautiful medieval town of Loches with it's own chateau day and night markets and a wide range of restaurants and bars..Nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away but the local boulangerie, boucherie and shop are a 5 minute walk across the river.Tours is 40 minutes away and offers sophisticated shops and restaurants as well as many historical buildings a medieval quarter. Amboise is a very pretty city with many historical building including the da Vinci museum. Many Chateaus are within less than half an hours drive including perhaps the most famous Chenonceau. 15 minutes away is a golf course and walking and cycling are popular pursuits as well as wine tasting.
