Sea view apartments “Kas Residence” are build up the mountain at the border of Kas. The position secures stunning views overlooking the village and the sea. Imagine seeing the sun go down while nipping on a glass of wine on your balcony. Far enough from the noisy bars in Kas centre to secure a good night sleep, close enough to be in the middle of it when you want to. Bars, shops and restaurants are found in abundance in Kas centre only a 15 minute stroll down the steep mountain road. Also the beach can be reached easily this way. Back up you just use the regular Dolmus (minibus) stopping only a 5 minutes’ walk from the apartment. Apartment Manzara sleeps 4 persons in two large twin bedrooms and has two bathrooms. The apartment is air-conditioned, has a specious living and a fully equipped open plan kitchen with a washing machine, dish washer and a micro wave / oven. In the apartment is satellite TV, DVD player and a stereo CD player available to use and it has a large shared pool.

The picturesque harbour town of Kas The picturesque harbour town Kas (Antiphellos in the Greek era) is renowned for its natural charm at the Turkey Rivera. It has an attractive harbour front along which tea gardens, cafes and restaurants are to be found in abundance. Leading away from the harbour is a warren of winding cobbled streets full of colourful shops offering all manner of carpets, ceramics, arts and crafts. Kas has remained relatively unspoiled since, until recent times, it was only possible to reach there by sea or on horseback. Tourism in Kas Tourism in Kas is international and tends to be of the more elite kind. The town is especially popular with the English, the Germans, the Scandinavians, the French, the Belgians and the Dutch, who come here in search of privacy, peace and quiet, comfort, nature, culture, active pursuits and fine cuisine. There is no mass tourism in Kas - no sprawling (all-inclusive) resorts or apartment complexes with organized entertainment.

Stunning Kas Villa!

This is a really fabulous villa overlooking the seaside village of Kas (pronounced "cash"). When we stayed (early June), we were only one of two couples sharing the pool (from 9 possible villas, but at least 4 or 5 of these were unfurnished and still for sale in June 2009 so you can be fairly sure the pool will not be overcrowded in the summer of 2009). The villa was exactly like the pictures on the website. Beautiful! The only drawbacks we found were the steep descent/ascent to/from the village - but we had a car so not an issue - and finding the villa late at night. The instructions were not adequate and we had to phone the caretaker who came out late at night to meet us. Bravo! I would recommend asking for very detailed location information from the owner. Avoid the harbour restaurant called Mercan. Go instead to a garden restaurant away from the harbour called Bahce. Also, if you go to see the sunken city at Kekova (recommended) keep an eye out for a young chap (about 23) pretending to hitch a lift from a couple of miles outside Kekova. He is actually touting for boat trips. We fell for it but the trip turned out to be excellent (about £45 for 2 hours with your own "captain" who even treated us to Turkish tea at a family's beachside house as part of the trip where we could also go swimming). The people were so friendly. We loved it all! Finally, we would not recommend the property for families with young children. The stairs are not safe for toddlers.

The apartment exceeded our expectations. We arrived late at night and suitable arrangements were made by the owner including assistance with transfers. Facilities and equipment within the apartment were of good quality. The apartment was light and spacious with adequate storage space.
The location is on a steep hillside with superb panoramic views so a good level of fitness or transport is beneficial. The 1.8m deep infinity pool is good but may not be suitable for young children, as there is no shallow end.
This was our first visit to Turkey and Kas was an ideal location. The people are friendly and we felt very welcome. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafes offering a wide range of cuisine and relaxed atmosphere.
There are many boat trips from the harbour which can be booked directly with the skipper. Other adventure facilities and trips are easily booked through the outlets in the town. If you decide to go it alone, travel is cheap and reliable on the dolmus or from the bus station.
Worth a visit are Kalkan, Patara, Saklikent Gorge, Myra and Xanthos, to name a few. Although this was our first visit it won't be our last.
