Amazing Villa in Perfect Location

We stayed in L’Oliveto for 4 nights while vacationing in Tuscany and could not have made a better choice for our accommodations. The villa was immaculate and the surrounding property was perfectly maintained. The estate was situated in a relaxed, quiet location such that we were able to visit various towns, wineries and sightsee in the countryside. At the same time we were a relatively close driving distance to Florence and Siena, so we had the best of both worlds. Our host James went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He advised us which towns, wineries and sights to visit and made fantastic lunch and dinner recommendations. When we arrived he had the villa stocked with all of the necessities, including food items native to Tuscany and wine. In addition there was wireless internet access, a selection of DVDs and CDs that came in handy. I have recommended the villa to my friends and hope to be returning myself.

We spent 5 days at L'Oliveta and loved it. James and Penny have thought of everything to make this property feel just like being at home.. The beds, linens and baths are all very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were able to relax and make meals in. The local village offered meats and produce as well as a great bakery which made our cooking experience wonderful. The location was great for exploring Tuscany and Florence. We were able to do daytrips to wonderful towns and even visited a winery. The peace and quiet of this villa is unsurpassed. We hope to return some day!! We will definately recommend the villa to our friends. James was a great help and it was so nice of him to check up on us to make sure things were going smoothly. Thanks for making are visit so special.

We spent a week at Il Prato and loved it so much we rented L'Oliveta for a month the next year. James and Penny have thought of everything to make these properties feel like you are at home.. The beds, linens and baths are all very comfortable. The kitchen was beautifully equipped with the best in knives and cookware. We were able to entertain at home which was important to us. The local village offered beautiful meats and produce so cooking was great fun.
The villas are beautifully maintained and the cleaning staff is wonderful.
The location is wonderful for exploring Tuscany. We were able to daytrip to so may wonderful hill towns and wineries. The area also offers some fabulous restaurants which we enjoyed.
The peace and quiet of this villa is unsurpassed. We loved sleeping with the windows opened with only the sounds of wildlife surrounding us.
We will return!! We recommended it to friends and they loved it also. If you are looking for a truly wonderful place to stay in Tuscany try Villa Casale Montecchio.
If we had to give any negatives it would be the dirt roads into the Arceno estate, our car stayed dusty. A car is a must for this villa.
