All terraces have own table, chairs and sun loungers. Suitable for sun worshippers and shade lovers. Two bedrooms with large double beds (1 en suite) and 1 twin bed with terrace entrances. Kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and dining area to seat 6 adjoining lounge. Marble floors throughout and furnished to highest standard for owners own use. BBC free to view TV, radio, DVD and cassette. Views of horseshoe bay, mountains and Andalusian village. Must be viewed at night as well for full effect. 5 mins drive along local coastal road to very quiet pebble beach. Quiet beautiful community pool 1 mins. walk from back terrace. La Herradurra is quiet horseshoe bay nestled between majestic mountains and towns of Nerja and Almunecar. Nerja is a very lively beautiful tourist town and Almunecar a popular Spanish orientated beach resort. It has a pebble beach with chiringuitos for long leisurely lunches. At the back of the promenade are lots of quiet inexpensive restaurants and bars. Not a nightclub resort but very popular at weekends with people from Granada. One hours drive from the ski resort in Sierra Nievada and Granada. Weekly markets in Almunecar and Nerja. 15 mins drive from mountain village of Frigliana. 5 minutes drive from Marina del Este - a small sailing port with restaurants and alternative beach. Superb for deep sea diving, mountain trekking, wind-surfing, para gliding and sailing. Local daily fish and vegetable market and fresh baked bread. Paradise for chilling out. Water from the Med is fresh and cold in all seasons. All local restaurants specialise in fresh fish.

Door to back terrace can be left open (bars lock separately) so fresh air can circulate during hot weather. Roller shutters are on all bedroom windows. The main bedroom has an ensuite marble bathroom and door leading onto a balcony with table and chairs.The second bedroom has French doors leading onto the same balcony. The views from both these bedrooms are stunning, looking across the sea to the bay of La Herradura and also across to a wooded hillside and mountains beyond. The third bedroom has twin beds and views looking out onto the private garden terrace at the rear of the house, which captures the afternoon sun perfectly. Hairdryer in main bedroom. Double showers in both bathrooms no bath.

Natural Park: There is a natural park immediately adjacent to the house with wonderful walks out on to a high peninsula. The views are outstanding and if you are lucky you will see the wild mountain deer roaming the hillsides Other activities Excellent walking

Skiing Information: The Ski resort of Sol y Nieve, in the Sierra Nevada, is an hour's drive from the house. The skiing there is very good, the season starting early December and ending some time during April. Ski equipment can be hired. For non-skiers, you can take a ride the cable car to the first post and enjoy the majestic scenery.From the mountain top - on a clear day you can see the Atlas mountains to the south in Africa. Reasonable menu del dia available. In the winter season you may need snow chains on the car for the end of the journey. Good reasonable taverna type hotels en route with wood fires. Superb mountain drives in all seasons.

Golf Information: The house is located between two golf courses about 25 minutes driving in each direction. To the west, at Velaz Malaga, is an eighteen hole course and to the east, at Motril, a nine hole course (which at present is being extended). Also try the course just outside Granada - a bit of a drive but worth it.

A wonderful holiday

We arrived at Pueblo to be greeted by a friendly and welcoming face who gave us a tour of the property and ensured we had all the information we required for the house and the area. The recommendations were first class.
We found La Herradura a small resort and a community with true Spanish charcter. We welcomed the lack of English tourist influence, just what we looking for. We were made very welcome in all the bars and resturants we visited and welcomed the offer of free Tapas in most. Our particular favourite and that of the locals being Bola Marina.
The house has a wonderful homely feel and is well equipped and decorated and furnished to a high standard. The outlook and views are superb.
It is a great location from which to explore the Costa Tropical, We found some great beaches within a ten minute drive.
Also ideally situated to visit the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the city of Granada (1 hour away by car) Overall an excellent holiday we wiil definitely return

The perfect post Christmas break

I have just returned from this gem of a Spanish village which I found last year while driving back to Malaga airport.
I was a guest of Linda and her agent Chris.
These ladies could act as tutors to a lot of others in the art of hospitality.
For example, I brought my arrival time forward a few hours on the day of my arrival but this was no problem. This set a standard of their helpfulness which continued for the whole week.
The accomodation is perfectly located in a quiet gated community and is of top end rental standard.
Views are to die for especially in the evening when the lights of the village sparkle in the distance across the bay.
Very quiet and romantic.
This house is quite obviously also a favourite for Linda's family when not rented out and this shows in the excellent standard of presentation.
2 sun terraces allow very good sun worshipping potential throughout the day.
I honestly was delighted.
This is even despite having read the previous reviews and being notoriously hard to please.
Ladies please keep up the good work and best wishes for the future.
I will probably be back next February!!!

Very well appointed home with every convenience required for a relaxing holiday; right from the moment of being met at the roundabout by the agent to show us the way to the house everything went smoothly. La Herradura is a small town with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants to make for a very enjoyable holiday.

We spent a wonderful 8 days here this August. The house was spotless with everything functioning. The house is nicely and comfortably furnished with all that's required and is beautifully positioned with wonderful views from the terraces.
Good use was made of the communal pool, particularly by our children.
Nearby by we visited Granada, Nerja and Frigliana. All between 15mins and 1hrs drive.
The local beaches are great as are the bars/restaurants located on them offering great lunchtime value and good local food.
The owners were easy to contact and deal with.
All in all this is a great place for a holiday and we hope to return very soon!

Wir haben zu viert (4 Erwachsene) einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus verbracht. Wir waren positiv überrascht, dass das Haus noch viel schöner war als auf den Bildern in der Anzeige. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Haus war sehr, sehr sauber (die Bettwäsche, Kissen und Decken waren ganz neu und frisch!). Wir haben noch nie zuvor ein so gut ausgestattetes Haus gemietet: alles war da, genau wie zu Hause. Da haben uns die sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieter wirklich nicht zu viel versprochen!
Die Sicht auf La Herradura und das Meer: einfach gigantisch.

Kurzum: wir können das Haus wirklich nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
Wir kommen sicher zurück.
