Huge and Unique Lisbon Duplex with incredible sea views

Over-hanging the old fishing village and palace park of the Lisbon community of Paço de Arcos, with its station conveniently less than a hundred yards away, our home is in the ideal position to explore Portugal's capital city and its environs. By train the hustle and bustle of downtown Lisbon is but ten minutes away while the chic Lisbon Riviera resorts of Estoril and Cascais are the same distance away in the opposite direction. Backing on to us is the lovely sub-tropical park while a 5 minute walk will take you to a splendid bathing beach. Meanwhile we are a 5 minute drive to one Europe's best surfing beaches. Recently refurbished in a 'minimalist' style by a Scandinavian architect, our sunny but always cool and airy home is as cosy as it is unquestionably extremely large. As now configured, it offers a gigantic open plan living room/dinning room, three to four bedrooms and four luxury bathrooms. Most importantly the apartment is surrounded by an idyllic terrace and balconies.

Perfect beaches, beautiful countryside and city action are all very near. Likewise Lisbon (Lisboa), Belem, Carcavelos, Estoril, Cascais are all but a few minutes away by car or fast and convenient local train. In addition, the excellent Oeiras shopping mall is five minutes away via the new mono-rail. Our home is above all a family paradise, designed with the child in mind - or child at heart, be they aged one or one hundred and one - whether they want to go for long walks, bicycle, play on championship golf courses, sail or surf, or for that matter just spend their vacation relaxing in one of our many hanging hammocks. Please note that under exceptional circumstances, we would also consider offers to swap our home for somewhere suitably special and enticing !

  • We are a small family of three luckily enough to be living in a very large space. Originally this duplex had six bedrooms and at the moment we have lazily configured if with three bedrooms and a very large office - if need be we can create more bedrooms for a visiting family. Meanwhile the sofa provides wonderful sleeping for at least two more guests. Furthermore, for very large visiting groups, we also have the possibility of additionally renting out our very lovely recently renovated sea-view apartment in an historical building,further down into the old village - another mere 5 minute walk away.

Our home is a haven for the sportsman, who will not only find some of Europe's best beaches on his door step but also no less than four championship golf courses within a half hour drive. A local local 18 hold course is a mere three kilometers away. As importantly, Lisbon is now one of Europe's most sophisticated cultural capitals. Affordable prices make it especially attractive for concerts of all types while clubbers will find the nightlife of Barrio Alto unbeatable. Five minutes away from our home, by the new monorail, is a large shopping mall which has an eight screen multiplex cinema. Hardly further away than downtown Lisbon is exquisitely romantic Sintra - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Equally all the trains to downtown Lisbon stop in Belem - another UNESCO World Heritage Site which now hosts the country's best modern art gallery at the CCB.
