Buenos Aires holiday : Microcentro / Downtown

On behalf of myself and my family we would like to thank you both - and Frank. Your home was perfect and Frank was an amazing host on your behalf. The enjoyment began upon arrival and once settled in we fell in love with your home as much as all the wonderful neighbourhood. As fanatical sightseers we really did appreciate the fact that everything of Buenos Aires seemed so incredibly close !

You made the process easy and very comfortable and for that, personally, I thank you.

Enjoy your many travels and if you ever find yourself wanting to explore our beautiful country...we are only an email away!

PS. Are you aware that the Buenos Aires city authorities have started an open-topped 'culture' bus that literally goes past your door ?

If you want location and the inside scoop on BA - Stay in this loft!

My wife and I arrived on a Sunday morning while most of BA was still asleep and met Frank. After getting some history of the loft and the building, Frank had prepared a hand written list of some of his recommendations for restaurants and shopping in BA.

After Frank left us, we climbed upstairs in the loft and took a long nap waking a few hours later in center of BA activity! A quick walk down to San Telmo we found one of Frank’s many recommendations for lunch at a local pizzeria - excellent food & cheap wine!

Frank extended his hospitality and invited us to his apartment. Over coffee we learned more about what BA has to offer from an insider and he pointed us to the Sunday market in San Telmo - a great opportunity to get small gifts for those back home, plus watch lively street performers and listen to great music.

We also found some fun little markets on the side streets of San Telmo and later that evening we enjoyed live Tango on Ave de Mayo. We wandered up to the loft’s sun deck on the roof and enjoyed traditional Argentine music from the street below, while we sipped a bottle of excellent Argentinean wine we found earlier in the day. This was just our first 12 hours in BA!

The rest of the week we wandered and explored BA with Frank’s list in our hand. We had some of the most enjoyable meals through out the city thanks to Frank’s recommendations and we were always just moments away from where we wanted to be.

The neighborhood around the loft included many small shops, a grocery and several coffee shops. Every thing we needed was close by and transport was not a problem, taxi’s were always available and the Subte was right at our door step.

This location was a great place for a get-a-way to Buenos Aires and loft is a lot of fun!

The most amazing apartment in the absolute perfect location in a wonderful city of Buenos Aires. We can't tell you truthfully describe how much fun we had there and how we have been raving ever since about how impeccably stylish is this home, as much as how incredibly comfortable ! Naturally, we are of of course already planning our return voyage.

Small tip. The cafe on the ground floor will deliver your breakfast and cappucinos all day long to your door !
