Located in a typical French village, with many restaurants and cafes nearby, this bressane farmhouse is ideal for families who want to enjoy the French countryside and the many lakes situated nearby. The area is superb for outdoor activities such as walking, fishing, cycling & ski ing of course. Within five minutes walk you will come across waterfalls, fountains and many other French delights. The magnificent lakes such as lac chalain and lac vooglans are about 20-30 minutes drive away. The lakes have a man-made beach for sun lovers, jet skis and fishing are available. For the winter enthusiasts skiing can be enjoyed at les rousses or morber. The farmhouse has 3 rooms which are self contained all with their own kitchen and bathroom facilities. The rooms will sleep up to 6 people and 8 with campbeds. There is a traditional open fire and dining area. Outside you will find a decked area ideal for barbecues or relaxing in the sun.Basic school French is enough for you to Bon Voyage!!!!

Easy access to decking area for barbecue and sunbathing with a chilled vin blanc. The separate studio is ideal for your mother in law or rowdy kids..... It is practicle and has its own kitchen and washing area !!! ski resorts are within 1 hours drive..upto 10 nearby !! ski passes available ski hire available

Notes: The studio accomodation would be better suited to the elderly or infirm or under 5's as there are stairs to the other areas of the bressane farmhouse. The top Floor mezzanine bedroom is more suited to the romantic couples. The middle floor is ideal for familys or adults and children alike, with shower and toilet facilities on each level. It can also be used for ski enthusiasts and cyclists

Ski at 10 stations within an hour: Ski at LES ROUSSES or at MORBER in the Jura Mountains , view via webcam at Jura and Vosges ski webcams. The Ski passes are approx £10 for halfday or £16 for a full day pass. The fantastic lakes of Lac Chalain and Lac Vooglans are breathtaking and have lots of activities for every personality and energy level. I personally favour Lac Chalain as i just about managed to kayak across it !!!

Golf at Lons-le-Saunier is approximately £22 per round and has a nice clubhouse and restaurant has its 19th hole.

Ski: Ski at 15 different ski resorts with 90 km from les rousses to morber ...lausanne to chamonix

Other Activities: 10 ski resorts within 1 hours drive

If you've watched the film you'll love this property and the beautifull village to which it is situated. Waterfalls, roaming Hillsides and mistletoe trees are what you find within a 2 minute walk from this rustic property. The lounge has an open fire, ideal for relaxing after a day cycling or walking round the fruit trees, vinyards and chateaux nearby.The mezzanine bedroom is very romantic and different.The 3 hot showers are usefull if you have a large party and there are 2 kitchens areas if your in a rush to get out early on a morning.The studio appartment is ideal if you have bikes or fishing equipment has its on the ground floor.The decking area is ideal for barbecues or testing your local reds from the vinyard. Lake Chalain is a must see along with Hermades waterfall and Lake Vooglans is tres picturesque.
A visit to Chez Monmons bar/ restaurant is also a must, Monmon helps with the upkeep of the property being the local Plombier (plumber) and his restaurant serves up a 3 course plat du jour for £9 a true bargain. The local village of Flers (3km) has won awards for its summer flower show. The steps may make it too difficult for people with disabilities...
