Salobreña on the Costa Tropical de Granada is just 45 minutes from the city of Granada and Andalucia's most famous historic attraction, the Alhambra. This largely undiscovered sub-tropical coastal area has some of the best views to be found anywhere and is still truly Spanish with a wide choice of excellent local restaurants and tapas bars. Salobreña is 70 minutes away from Spain's highest mountains and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada. As well as skiing/snowboarding in the winter other sports and activities that can be enjoyed here all year round are tennis, golf, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking and walking/birdwatching in the verdant valleys of the nearby Alpujarras.

  • Booking notes:
    30% booking deposit is due on booking the property. The remaining rental fee is due 8 weeks
    before the start of the rental. At this time a £350 security retainer is also due to be held against loss or damage to the property and is returnable within 14 days of your return.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    In the event of cancellation for any reason the party leader must notify us by email or in writing. The following cancellation charges will apply:-
    ' more than 56 days before arrival - deposit only.
    ' 56 to 29 days before arrival - 50% of the total rental cost.
    ' 28 days or less before arrival - 100% of the total rental cost.
    We accept no responsibility whatsoever, and no payment or other compensation will be payable, if cancellation or changes to the terms of booking are brought about or become necessary due to war, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions. In addition we will not be responsible for closure or congestion of airports, ferries, technical problems with transportation or cancellation or schedule changes by carriers whether scheduled or charter. Notwithstanding any of the above paragraph, if, for any reason, the villa becomes uninhabitable prior to your departure, a full refund of villa rental and security deposit payments will be payable.

    Whilst in occupation, your personal safety is your responsibility and we do not accept any liability or responsibility for any injury caused as a result of use of the property, the property grounds, or anything in or pertaining to the property. No liability is accepted for the loss of or damage to any personal property or effects, such as passports, documents, cheques or money belonging to any member of the party whilst renting the property. Salobrena: This attractive south-facing villa is situated on a hillside overlooking the ancient village of Salobreña, between Almuñecar and Motril, in southern Spain. It has spectacular views over the Mediterranean coastline of the “Costa Tropical”, and Salobreña with its medieval quarter, narrow streets, whitewashed houses and Moorish castle built on a rocky outcrop. In the surrounding green fertile plain, sugar cane, vegetables and sub-tropical fruits are cultivated. The villa is ideally situated to visit the city of Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace, and to explore the mountain villages of Las Alpujarras. The Sierra Nevada mountains, usually snow-capped from November to May, are approx. 1hr 30 min drive away. This area has all the advantages of a beach holiday and, for ski enthusiasts or walkers, the mountains with their beautiful scenery and wildlife. It is said the unique microclimate creates more winter sun than other parts of the coast. This semi-rural area is typically Spanish.

Airports: You have a choice of 3 airports to travel to Salobrena. All these airports are served by budget airlines. Malaga-75 minutes drive. (EasyJet) Granada-45 minutes drive. (Ryanair, Monarch) Almeria-105 minutes drive. (EasyJet) A hire car is strongly recommended.

Distances: The town of Salobreña is situated at 7 minutes from the villa. The town of Almuñecar lies within 10 minutes driving from the villa. The province's second largest town, Motril, lies within 12 minutes driving from the villa. All amenities, shops, banks, supermarkets, restaurants, Tapas bars, etc. can be found in the town of Salobreña at 7 minutes driving from the villa. Walking to the town is not recommended but access is easy and taxis are readily available.

Ski: The Sierra Nevada Sol y Nieve ski resort is situated at 1½ hour drive from the villa. Easily accessible and all material can be rented on site.

Golf: Los Moriscos Golf Course at 10 min drive. Granada Golf Courses at 1 hour drive. Malaga Golf Courses at 1 hour drive.

Other Activities: Skiing 1.5 hr drive, Beach 5 minutes drive
