This fabulous flour mill “La Molina de Gofio” is a totally unique property situated in the north of Lanzarote. This beautiful detached Country House is in the traditional and picturesque countryside village of Maguez, Haria the valley of a thousand palms. This gives you the chance to discover a wonderful place to holiday and experience the true Lanzarote life style. This self catering house comprises of 2 bedrooms on the top floor with a wooden terrace and a bathroom. The terrace boasts spectacular mountain and village views. The 3rd bedroom is on the ground floor along with a guest toilet. The house has been fully restored with great care and has the original workings and mill stones incorporated within its living space. Its living area is light and airy with two glass arch doors making it open plan through to the dining area. Its independent kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, fridge freezer etc. This property has a mature walled garden with Hot Tub, BBQ, Palms and Fig Tree.

Maguez is a great base from which to explore the island, with the Jameos del Agua Cave, The Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio View of Graciosa Island and The Green Caves being only 10 minutes drive away. The nearest costal village of Arrieta boasts one of the best family beaches on the island it has a tapas beach bar and restaurant, toilets and shower facilities, from its black sands you can see the panoramic volcanic mountains up to Haria. From Maguez set in a rural farming village you can explore the countryside mountains & volcanoes, it is great for walking, hiking & bird watching & there are spectacular views to La Graciosa. In neighbouring Haira you will find cosy restaurants and Tapas Bars, each Saturday you can experience the artisan market which is well worth a visit. Venture further & a 20 minute mountain route drive takes you to the historic village of Teguise where you can take a stroll through the cobbled lanes, watch local artists at work or visit the busy Sunday Market.

WATER SPORTS

Lanzarote is ideal for water sports and boasts a good range. WINDSURFING - This is available from two of the nearest points to the property either on Arrieta Beach just in front of the house or at Jameos Del Agua. Costa Teguise being just 15 mins away has numerous places where you can hire equipment and have a great sail. SEA KAYAK - This is also available in Costa Teguise. DIVING - There are numerous places for diving on the island the nearest to the propery is at Arrieta Village. KITE SURFING - is increasing growing here and Famara beach is the main place to sail here. SURFING - best waves are either off East Coast Arrieta beach or Punta Mujeres or West Coast at Famara. You can have lessons and hire equipment at Famara. SAILING - For a day out sailing the prestigious Puerto Calero offers either private yacht or speed boat charters or a day out on a 80ft Catarmaran. FISHING - You can always go fishing either from the pier at Arrieta or go out on a boat from Puerto Calero

GOLF

The 18 hole golf course is in Costa Teguise set at the foot of an old volcano, surrounded by 3000 palms, cactus and beautiful views to the sea. Group or individual classes are available from one of the two golf professionals.

MOUNTAIN BIKE/WALKING

There are some great tracks from the village of Maguez for mountain biking and Walking, this is a quiet part of the island and there is plenty to explore and discover. There are some business who specialise in treKking and they have many excursions on offer.
