This unique Canarian fisherman's cottage is front line to the sea at Arrieta. This Eco house runs on solar power and is a fantastic example of sustainable living, the house has 4 solar panels where the power is then stored in batteries, these panels make great use of the year round sunshine. The house has been sympathetically restored using wood and stone and has kept its original court yard. The finishing touches are being added now and the house will be ready for rental by mid Sept 08. You enter the property through its court yard and can go on into the fully fitted kitchen and on through to the living room. On the ground floor of the courtyard you have a shower room and the external stair case up to the first floor. The master bedroom with en suit is on the first floor, overlooking the sea.

Notes to the rental rates

• Please note that prices shown are based on up to four people sharing, and include linen and towels. An extra charge (60 Euros/ approx 50 Pounds) per person per week.
  I ask for the house to be left clean as found or an end of stay cleaner can be arranged at a cost of 50 Euros/40 Pounds Approx.

Mountain Bike-Walking-Birding

There are some great tracks from the house for mountain biking, cycling and Walking, this is a quiet part of the island and there is plenty to explore and discover. There are some fantastic walks from the north of the island, organized excursions can be arranged or you can discover the fantastic costal and mountain tracks independently. This is a great location to see the islands wild life. There is a fantastic array of Bird species on the island, including, Herons, Egrets, Osprey, Vultures, Falcons, Kestrels, Swifts, Hoopoes, Bee-eaters etc etc.....

Water Sports

Lanzarote is ideal for water sports and boasts a good range. WINDSURFING - You are able to leave directly from the jetty at the house, from the beach or at Jameos Del Agua or Costa Teguise. Costa Teguise being just 15 mins away has numerous places where you can hire equipment and have a great sail. SEA KAYAK - This is also available in Costa Teguise DIVING - . There are numerous places for diving on the island the nearest to the property is in Arrieta Village. KITE SURFING - is increasing growing here and Famara beach is the main place to sail here. SURFING - best waves are either off East Coast Arrieta beach or Punta Mujeres or West Coast at Famara. You can have lessons and hire equipment at Famara. SAILING - For a day out sailing the prestigious Puerto Calero offers either private yacht or speed boat charters or a day out on a 80ft Catamaran. FISHING - You can always go fishing either from the pier at Arrieta or go out on a boat from Puerto Calero.

Golf Information:

The 18 hole golf course is in Costa Teguise set at the foot of an old volcano, surrounded by 3000 palms, cactus and beautiful views to the sea. Group or individual classes are available from one of the two golf professionals.
