A Beautiful stone cottage in a small tranquil hamlet overlooking the picturesque Dropt Valley. Spacious accommodation comprises large lounge with wood burning fire making it an ideal cosy rental all year round. The bedroom is spacious light and tastefully furnished. The luxury bathroom has a corner spa bath and shower. The fully fitted kitchen/dining area leads to a pretty garden which is well equipped with garden furniture,parasol and barbeque. Here you can not only relax amongst the lilac and the fruit trees which provide a lovely natural shade but you're also welcome to help yourselves to the cherries, figs, plums and apples as they grow. The pool is shared with us Yvonne and Paul and around the pool we provide table, parasol, chairs and sunbeds exclusively for the use of our guests. Bicycles are available so that you can enjoy and explore the Dropt Valley, the vineyards and other local areas. We love our cottage and our hamlet and we're sure you will to.

We are ideally located between Eymet a 13th Century bastide town in the Dordogne and Duras with its beautiful chateau in the Lot and Garonne. If you don't know this area you will be surprised and delighted at how many beautiful medieval villages and towns are dotted around, many hosting wine, jazz and medieval festivals. Every day of the week you can find a different colourful market selling the varied produce of the area The places to visit are numerous. ST EMILION- a beautiful medieval town renowned for its grand cru wines. SARLAT with its beautiful architecture, restaurants, shops and market ISSIGIEAC where the French tradition of a Sunday market blends with winding streets and medieval buildings, MONPAZIER AND MONFLANQUIN medieval bastide towns with wonderful views and architecture. If you want to visit the coast, the charismatic seaside town of Arcachon is 2 hours away and if you're visiting there don't miss the phenomenon of the Dunes of Pyla- truly breathtaking.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We ask for an initial deposit of £100 per week non refundable
    We ask for payment in full 8 weeks before arrival. If cancellation occurs after this date we will make every effort to relet the cottage. We can only refund if we are able to relet the cottage and this would be minus a £30 administration charge. We would recommend our clients to arrange insurance cover.

    On arrival we ask for a cheque for £200 to cover any damages or breakages. This will be held and providing no damage or breakages occur the cheque will be returned within one week of the end of the holiday.

    Rentals outside of the normal rental periods will be considered during low season.
    Special rates will be negotiated for stays of 3 weeks or more

Notes: The swimming pool 11m x 5m is shared with us the owners. We are Yvonne and Paul and are a very early retired couple. At the cottage you have the garden with garden furniture including relaxing sun chairs. At the swimming pool there is a further table and chairs with parasol and also two sunbeds exclusively for the use of our guests. We do not provide Pool Towels. In the cottage there is a large selection of books and recently released DVD's for your use. We provide a small pack of local produce when you arrive to welcome you to this very special area of France

First time in France: what wonderful luck to stay in your beautiful gite. The weather has been amazing and so nice to cool off in your lovely pool. Your local knowledge enabled us to see many old and interesting towns.
