A stylish apartment in a traditional house
Appearances can sometimes be deceptive as the traditional façade of Meri's house-thick stone walls green shutters and pantiled roof set against colourful flowering shrubs-does not prepare for the stylish interiors this two storey house within a house contains. Illuminated alcoves, subtle modern lightning and attractive pieces of Italian furniture add warmth to the spacious open plan living space downstairs and a breakfast bar separates the well-equipped kitchen from the rest of the room. A grey marble clad staircase leads up to the upper attic floor in the eaves which houses two double bedrooms, a bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and a walk-in wardrobe. Air conditioning both floors, digital satellite TV and CD player are further modern touches to help ensure as comfortable a stay as possible. A sparkling pomegranate tree heralds the entrance to the apartment and the terrace, with only the fruit trees for company.
