Villa of 1830 completely renovated in 2008 with tastefully, it situated in the hills between Lucca. View of the countryside and the surrounding hills. Peace and quiet. Portico equipped for outdoor dining, swimming pool private (4x8) with large equipped lawn are at the guests' disposal, barbecue, table tennis. The back of the house is adjacent to another accommodation where live the owners anyway, is it completely independent. It is possible to organize dinners with typical dishes and to purchase local products (wine, olive oil). Access to the property along 100 m of dirt track road. private Parking. Lucca: a city of Ligurian-Etruscan origins, enclosed by a circle of 16th-century walls, with its palaces, churches, towers and gardens is a small enchanted world. From the charming garden on top of the tower of Palazzo Guinigi there is a splendid view of the city, with its red rooftops, its campaniles and the surrounding countryside which ends in the distance with the majestic profile of the Apuan Mountains. Walking down toward the centre, you will discover 14th-century houses, renaissance loggias, small antique shops open along the stone-paved alleyways and you can buy “buccellato”, a typical local cake in the small pastry shops with tables set out along the street. A must see: a trip to the Garfagnana, a vast valley that reaches from the Apennine to the Apuan mountains with a grand variety of landscapes. It is in these places that tombs from the Stone Age were discovered and it is from here that in just a few minutes by car you can reach the most renowned bathing resorts of Versilia

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Casa Musa.
It is situated on a hillside with an uninterrupted
view into the valley and the village of San Martino.
Despite having the owners living "round the back" you
would never have known it; it is very private and
quiet. We did not see the owners except when they
brought a gift of home grown fruit for us. However,
we knew they were there to help out in any way if we
had a problem.

The villa itself is clean and well appointed. Newly
refurbished, it has very good en-suite facilities,
and the kitchen provides all basic needs, with a
microwave, oven, gas hob and a good-sized
fridge/freezer (plus washing machine in the utility
room). One of the air conditioners was a bit
temperamental when we were there but the rooms were
cool and comfortable with shuttered windows.

The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun
loungers around it. The table tennis table and
equipment were a bonus.

The villa is situated in an area where there are
plenty of sights to see such as Pisa, Lucca,
Viareggio on the coast, and lovely valley rides into
the mountains.

Although we made these excursions in our hired car,
the best part of the week was definitely the time we
spent chilling out at the villa.
