A self-catering villa with swimming pool and Mediterranean garden, this property is perfect for those looking for a holiday base in a tranquil setting within easy reach of cultural and sporting activities. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area on the hillside overlooking the village of St Gély du Fesc. The village centre is within easy walking distance (10 minutes) and Montpellier is just a short drive away (15 minutes to centre). In addition to the 18-hole golf course, there is also a 80 hectare deer park situated 200m away along the same road. The villa can be rented as a five-bedroom property (1800-2500 euro, min. 2/3 weeks) or as a three-bedroom property, priced below (separate two-room apartment with for owners use). In addition to the 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, there is a large beamed living room with fireplace overlooking the terrace and swimming pool (11m x 5m), an adjoining dining area and 2 fully equipped kitchens. A second terrace offers a built-in barbecue.

Good road, rail and air connections make the property easily accessible. Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices quoted are for 3-bedroom villa excluding adjoining downstairs apartment. To rent the villa with 5 bedrooms the prices are: 2500 euros for high season, 2000 euros for mid season and 1800 euros for low season (minimum rental period is two weeks normally for the entire villa and three weeks during high season). The two-bed downstairs apartment is generally for the use of the owners, unless the entire villa is booked (it has separate access and so is independent, but an adjoining door can open it up to the rest of the villa), and isn't rented to any other people when the 3-bedroom villa is booked.
    Christmas and Easter holiday are considered mid-season.
    A security deposit of 1000 euros is required.
    A cleaning service can be provided for 150 euros, upon request. The villa must be left as clean and tidy as you found it on arrival, ready for the next guests.
  • A refundable security deposit of 1000 euros will be required against breakage or damages. It will be paid with the final payment (4 weeks prior arrival) and returned at the latest two weeks after departure providing no breakages or damages are found.

    25% of the rental price will be required at booking time. The final payment will be required 4 weeks before arrival.
    Payment will be made via international transfers to our French Euro account. British cheques are accepted as guarantee.
  • You are expected to leave the villa in clean and good condition at the end of your stay. Any damage or costs of cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit. Cleaning costs are at least € 150.

    The change-overday in June, July and August is always SATURDAY. May, September and October can be discussed. The arrival time is 16.00 hrs pm Departure 10.00 hrs am

  • There are three upstairs bedrooms, two facing west with a view of the pool and one overlooking the side of the garden. It is possible to have an additional sleeping area on the mezzanine. This area is fairly spacious but open onto the living room below. There is also the possibility to rent the villa with an adjoining 2 bedroom apartment with separate kitchen and bathroom and independent access. The larger of these bedrooms opens onto the terrace overlooking the pool area.

A lovely, well-situated villa

The villa and location were excellent, with lots to see and do in the area. The villa was clean and well-maintained, well equipped and the owners very helpful. The village is a stroll away down the hill and there are large supermarkets nearby to buy provisions. There are beautiful towns and villages nearby and wonderful natural scenery as well as lovely beaches. The main villa does only have one bathroom and a second toilet - that's the only aspect of the property that disappointed. (We had understood two bathrooms from reading the details). Would definitely recommend the villa to others - the pool is superb!
