Rome holiday apartment: Rome

Our host had provided us with the telephone number, of an official taxi company via e-mailprior to our departure from Britain. On arrival, we decided to catch the bus transfer into Rome, which proved to be a very simple process. The ticket sellers are located within the airport and the bus collected you from directly outside. We telephoned our host when we arrived at the Termini railway station and he had arranged for his wife to meet us, as he was working. We met the lady of the house, at the exact time we had arranged, at the apartment and she showed us around, explained where the nearest shops were, the best local eateries and best sightseeing trips to take. We were given their contact telephone number, should we need any assistance.
The apartment was absolutely fantastic. It was exactly as had been described on the web-site. The location could not have been better, we were just around the corner from Manzoni subway station. The terrace proved to be invaluable, as the weather was so good we ate all our meals outside every day. The lady of the house recommended the restaurant across the road, which we ate in one night. The pizza was brilliant. We also ate out in a small restaurant across the road from San Giovanni. The carbonara was excellent. The amenities in the apartment were as described. The selection of DVDs and music cassettes were of a high standard, providing for a variety of likes and preferences. The apartment was spotless and there were plenty of cleaning and washing products provided so you were able to maintain the standard during your stay. Both our host and the lady of the house provided us with an excellent service. My brother injured his foot and the lady of the house took the time to contact the taxi company to check that we had booked the taxi for the return trip to the airport correctly. Since returning home I have forwarded the link apertaining to the apartment to many of my friends and work colleagues as I was so impressed with the quality of the apartment and standard of the service.
Book yourself the 48 hour sightseeing tour as a must, you learn so many extras from the guides. You are also able to visit sites like the Tivoli fountain and the Pantheon from the bus. Allocate a whole day to visit the Forums, the Colluseum, St Peter's and the Vatican, there is so much to see, you do not want to rush the experience. If you do stay in this apartment you will certainly have a truly memorable and enjoyable time.
