If you can tear yourself away from the peace of the villa, a couple of miles away is the town of Taormina, the Pearl of the Mediterranean, easily reachable with the help of a cable car located 15 minutes walk away. Centre of attraction is the splendid Greco-Roman amphitheatre, spectacularly set with panoramic views across the beautiful blue bay with Mount Etna brooding in the background. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with designer boutiques, romantic candlelit bars and sparkling restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Taormina is ideally located to easily reach most parts of Sicily including Mount Etna volcano, the Aeolian Islands, the UNESCO-protected baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Noto, the medieval village of Castelmola, Siracusa and its historical centre Ortigia, Villa Romana with its mosaics, Agrigento with its Greek temples… thousands of years of history in one island!

  • The house is on three levels. Enter the front door to the main living area, with stylish sitting and dining areas, and access to the dining area in the veranda outside. Off this living area is a small but fully equipped kitchen. Some spiral stairs take you to the first floor which is home to two double bedrooms with queen size bed and panoramic balcony, and a bathroom with shower. Some stairs lead up to a third double bedroom with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom (with shower), and to a small roof terrace with sun all day long. The atmosphere and decoration throughout are warm and simple with excellent use of colour and original features of the house.

Notes: The villa is a unique building of its kind, with a breathtaking charm which stands out from its idyllic setting on a high rocky cliff. The beautiful private garden offers great al fresco dining options, sunlit breakfast spots and peaceful reading corners. The views are simply spectacular: the vastness of the blue sea and Isola Bella bay, an unforgettable scenery. The complex saltwater pool is dramatically located on the cliff edge with breathtaking views of Isola Bella bay. From inside the pool (open mid-May to mid-October), one really has the sensation of hanging directly above the sea. An elevator takes you through 50m of solid rock to the spectacular rocky shore where you can sunbath or swim in the emerald blue-green waters, while the crystal clear waters of the surrounding grottoes provide ideal conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving. Although the private beach and pool can get quite busy in July and August, they remain extremely quiet during other periods.

The “Picciolo Golf Club' is 30km away from the property and offers the opportunity to play golf in a spectacular location (the slopes of Mount Etna volcano) without the crowds, slow play and high green fees that are typical of many of the more established golfing destinations elsewhere in Europe. With breathtaking and scenic views for all 18 holes, set among among lava flows, oaks, hazels and vineyards, Il Picciolo is the oldest course in Sicily and has played host to a number of international tournaments, including Ladies’ European Tour events.

The spectacular 18-hole “Il Picciolo Golf Club' is 30km away from the property. Skiing on the impressive slopes of Mount Etna volcano (45mins drive).

The best holiday one can imagine.

We spent the most fantastic week staying at beautiful Villa Suk. From the moment we arrived and walked on to the terrace to take in the fantastic view, we fell in love with this charming villa. The villa is so well appointed and comfortable and one really has the sense of being a guest in someone's well cared for home, rather than a tourist renting accommodation. The ambience of the complex of villas, which seemed to have more Italians than overseas tourists staying there, set the scene for a week of delights. Morning swims in the complex's private swimming spot, which was reached by a fantastic lift that descends down 50 metres through the cliff to arrive at the cave leading to the crystal blue water below, followed by lunch in one of the many fabulous restaurants within walking distance. An afternoon trip to Taormina or the incredible hill top town of Castelmola, with its ancient winding streets. So much to do but such a pleasure to just be quiet with a book and a glass of wine, on the terrace. The difficult decisions of each day!
The owner, Francesco was just so lovely and helpful with local information and suggestions for trips and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
A bonus was to be able to use the internet stick which comes with the villa, with plenty of capacity for emailing.
A truly idyllic holiday, that we will never forget.

Beautiful Location for the Perfect Vacation!

A group of four girlfriends just returned from an incredible vacation at Villa Suk! Everything was exactly as described on the website and the views are even more spectacular—if that's possible. The most important aspects in selecting a vacation location to our group are the outside views, privacy, comfortable outside seating for entertaining, and proximity of fun day trips. Villa Suk was perfect! We enjoyed traveling to many lovely towns during the day and returned to the villa in the evenings to cook and enjoy the beautiful outside patio and dining area.

The bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The beach area is incredible and we spent a couple of hours each morning swimming in the blue water. The pool is incredible—even more beautiful than the pictures.

Francesco was very helpful to us from the very beginning. We relied on his information for getting around and finding local supermarkets, restaurants, etc. You can trust his recommendations! We were able to walk to most things we needed but also decided to rent a car for a couple of days to tour the island on our own. Though a car is not necessarily required - we thoroughly enjoyed exploring on our own.

This was our 4th trip to Italy and we all agree that it ranks at the top of our list as one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations. I highly recommend it.

Stunning scenery, fabulous appartment

This appartment is located over Isolabella Bay with stunning views and an
ideal position for seeing the wonderful sights of Sicily - both nearby (such as Taormina and Castelmola) and along the eastern coast via car (e.g. Syracusa, Al Cantra Gorge, and Mount Etna).

There is a dedicated swimming pool and easy access to a private shorefront. Supermarkets and restaurants are within easy reach.

An idylic location - very highly recommended!
