There is much local history to be discovered walking through the old streets of Antibes. Wonderful old stone buildings, food markets, Bric-a-brac and clothes markets galore. If you want to explore further afield, the train station in Antibes takes you west along the coast to Cannes, with the designer shops and where the famous film festival takes place. Or take a train to hillside town of Grasse, famous for its perfume. East on the train will take you to Monaco and across the border into Italy, less than an hour away. Great for a day trip. Juan les Pins is also a lively area, just across the other side of the Cap, 5 minutes drive.from the apartment. Famous for its Jazz Festival and beaches. During the evenings Juan les Pins turns into a buzzing place, street entertainers, restaurants, ice-cream parlours & late night clubs. There are fantastic coastal walks to be taken from the apartment round Cap d'Antibes, a walk up the hill to the lighthouse and chapel is not be missed.
