Arles; home to the Impressionist painters (Van Gogh etc) & Nimes with the its best preserved Roman Arena. See the famous Pont du Gard & ducal town of Uzes (20 mins drive). Beautiful beaches of Ste Maries de-la-Mer only half an hours drive away. To get to Ste Maries, enjoy the spectacular drive through the Carmague and spend time in the Reserve Naturelle (Zoologique et Botanique). Horseriding and biking are the best way to see this beautiful natural parkland with its flamingos and countless birdlife. (You can even try to find the seafood restaurant, Ju-jus, as raved about by Rick Stein in his French Odyssey TV series). Excellent shopping in Arles, Nimes and Avignon. Photo of front of house
It is very difficult to capture on film the splendour of this house..... it would have to be an Ariel shot, which we do not have. The front of the house is enclosed by an ancient courtyard, so a long distance shot is impossible. Trust us - it is magnificent!
Other Activities Surrounded by excellent vineyards for wine tasting
