San Severino Marche:
San Severino is just 5 mins away (2,5 km) and offers all shopping facilities with supermarkets and all main shops, bars, restaurants and pizzerias, post office, banks. Sport facilities include tennis, indoor swimming pool, Italian bowels, horse riding.
Overlooked by its towers, San Severino is attractive for the monumental Piazza del Popolo, considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Marche. Works of art from the XV century school can be admired in the rich and ancient Art Gallery as well as in the numerous rural and urban churches. In the Middle Age on the hills surrounding the town towered many defenses castles, the watch tower and what is left of the city walls are reminders of a feudal past, today they have become balconies, a superb observatory to view the panorama which reaches as far as the eye can see, to the Sibillini and the distant Gran Sasso. However it is Elcito that really strikes the eye with its Grey homes crouched on the top of the rocky cliffs.

Walking and hiking, with footpath starting from the property, birdwatching, mountain biking (4 bikes are available for free rent in the property, horse riding, museums, churches, abbeys, castles and fortresses.
Lovely seaside towns along the Adriatic coast are at 40 mins drive away with Porto Recanati, Numana and Sirolo being the nearest. Porto Recanati, Civitanova Marche and Porto San Giorgio can also be reached by train from San Severino.
Lakes, water parks, paraglading on the Sibillini Mountains are all at easy driving distance, (from 30 to 60 mns).

Recommended and wellknown places to visit : Urbino, Ascoli Piceno and in the near Umbria Assisi, with its enchanting and mystic atmosphere, Gubbio and Perugia. All can be reached in less than 2 hours drive.
The wonderful limestone Frasassi caves are 45 mns drive away from the property.

Tolentino with the church of San Nicola and Rancia Castle. Camerino and its Fortress, churches and museums, Matelica with a rich Art Gallery, Caldarola with the Pallotta Castle, Cingoli named “The balcony of Marche”. San Ginesio and Sarnano in The Sibillini, Jesi in the 'Verdicchio' wine area. Loreto with the famous Sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
A renowned open air Opera festival is held in Macerata in july/august ( 25 mns drive from the property)
and in San Severino there is a Blues festival in july .
Food and wine festivals are also numerous in the area all over the year.
Ski:
The nearest ski resorts of Sassotetto and Bognola in the Sibillini are within easy reach in 45 mins drive.
