Modern cottage in picturesque setting

The cottage is situated 1km from the quaint fishing village of Portmagee and 8km off the ring of Kerry. There are 3 bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, the cottage is fitted with all modern conveniences and equipped to a high standard. The living area is open plan with a real fire and comfy sofa's and freeview TV, DVD, CD etc for your pleasure. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine/ dryer, dish washer, clothes airer, iron and ironing board and all the utensils you may need to make your stay home from home. The bedrooms each have wardrobes and bedside cabinets with lamps. The Patio doors lead from the lounge area to a large garden which has table and chairs, you will also have the use of bikes which are in the shed to use for some of the cycle trails. Scenic walks can be enjoyed to the village or up the mountain which is directly behind the cottage

The cottage is placed in a beautiful setting with views over to Valentia Island from the front, coomanaspic mountain behind and bray head to the side of the property. The colourful fishing village of Portmagee is only a 15minute leisurely walk away where you will find 2 family friendly pubs/restaurants which have traditional Irish dancing nights and local musicians playing regularly. You can take a boat trip to visit the Skellig rock which is a world heritage site with the remains a monastic settlement and wildlife including a gannet colony. At the pier you can sit and enjoy a pint or a meal and watch the boats come and go with their catch. Valentia Island can be reached by crossing the bridge in the village and there you will find a candle factory and the slate quarry, lighthouse, the fogher cliffs, tetrapod (dinosaur footprints), Bray head tower and an array of art galleries.
