In a beautifully renovated Charentaise House we offer a self-contained Cottage available for Holidays with self catering facilities and sleeping up to 5 people on 2 floors. There is a comfortable sitting area with a Kitchen with gas hob and microwave oven/grill, all crockery and utensils plus a shower room and toilet and a secluded garden to relax in, and off road parking. We have a lovely spa swimming pool in the main garden with terrace area, sun loungers, table and chairs and a barbecue. We offer the Gite for rental at €350 per week. We also have further accommodation offering Bed and Breakfast and sleeping up to 5 with full disabled facilities including shower and toilets. We offer this complete with breakfast for 25€ per person per night and half price for children under 12. We offer a home cooked Evening meal available to all our Guests at a reasonable price

The self-contained Cottage is available for Holidays with self catering facilities and sleeping accommodation for up to 5 people on 2 floors. There are 3 single beds on the 1st floor Mezzanine bedroom and a bed settee for 2 in the Lounge area. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, gas hob, grill/microwave oven, all crockery and cooking utensils. A fully equipped shower room is adjacent. We offer the Gite for rental from 420€ per week. Outside there is a private garden, a pool is situated in the grounds with Hydro massage jets and underwater lighting, a paved surround and terrace with sun loungers plus a shade area and BBQ completes the relaxing atmosphere. We offer an optional Evening Meal to all our Guests at a reasonable price All bed linen and towels are provided. Our towels are not for use by the pool and must not be taken from the premise.

La Vigne is in a relaxing peaceful location in a wooded valley with a river bordering the property.To the north are Puy de Fou, a fabulous themed Park and Futuroscope near Poitiers, both within easy reach. To the west there is the coast of the Charente Maritime, with the beautiful old port of La Rochelle and lovely sandy beaches. Just a short distance to the east are the lakes of Central France and the Vienne River with plenty of places for fishing or just relaxing by the water, or if you like something a little more adventurous try some rafting or canoeing. Then to the south and south west is Cognac and the world renowned vineyards of Remy Martin, Martel and Courvoisier to name but a few, There are guided tours of the famous vineyards followed by a tasting of the famous liqueur. All around the area are beautiful villages, stunning Chateaux, rolling countryside and amazing views, all complementing the pretty towns of Ruffec and Mansle and the beautiful city of Angouleme

  • We provide breakfast for our clients in B&B. However breakfast is also available, if required, in the Gite at an extra charge. An Evening Meal is available for all our Guests at a competitive price.
    Please note if renting both units together there are only cooking facilities in the Gite for 5.

Relaxing Holiday: Located in a wooded valley in the heart of the Charente countryside we offer the chance of a quiet break away from everything.

Nature and Wildlife: We have deer in the woods around us who come to drink from the river at dawn and dusk, there are also otters and coypu to be seen on the river banks, ..and maybe you will hear a Sanglier roaming in the woods, though they are very shy. We regularly have several Buzzards and sometimes a Red Kite flying overhead, not to mention in spring and Autumn the migrating geese on their flightpath over us which is spectacular to watch.

Activities around us: Without having to get into your car, right on our doorstep there are nature walks around the immediate area through the woodlands, and there are some lovely tracks suitable for cycling around the local countryside and with fishing available just outside the front door with plenty of fish in the river what more could you ask.

Quite simply fantastic. Great family, lovely relaxing atmosphere and you can't fault the gite or the area. Hopefully will be going back next year!
