Rosecliff Lodge stands in 7 acres of woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a grassy area around the house with children’s swings, a Wendy House and garden furniture. In addition there is a large meadow below the house where children can play. The house has a sitting room, a large conservatory, a kitchen/dining room, two bathrooms, a store room and three bedrooms. It can sleep 8 + a toddler and two babies. The house is next to three National Trust paths leading to Bonchurch, Shanklin and St Boniface Down. Bonchurch beach is a 20 minute walk from the house along a charming woodland path and Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor beaches are 10 minutes away by car. The house and gardens are a mini nature reserve where you can observe red squirrels, badgers, woodpeckers, pheasants, buzzards, owls and rabbits and where wild flowers such as primroses, cowslips and bluebells are encouraged to grow.

Beautiful house set in delightful surroundings.Feel like you really are in the wilderness, especially when badger watching. House very homely and well equipt. Definitely child freindly with great outdoor play areas and so much woodland to explore. Great location close to lovely towns with good bars and restaurants. All in all a very relaxing holiday- would love to come back.

This is a lovely, spacious house in beautiful surroundings. The downstairs lounge easily converts into a 4th bedroom, and the conservatory is a much more pleasant sitting room anyway.
The kitchen is very well equipped, and the childrens play area outside is great. There are some superb walks through the surrounding woods, and some lovely beaches within a short drive.
You will be spoilt for choice of places to eat out in nearby Shanklin and Sandown, but a car is a definite must.
If anything, the house was a little dusty, and would benefit from some carpets upstairs, but that's being a little picky!! Overall, I would highly recommend staying here, especially if there's a group of you.
