Comfortable first floor apartment in the centre of Krakow

Fully refurbished in 2006 our apartment is on the first floor of a typical Polish town house that dates back to the late 19th century. It is in the historic Jewish Quarter, Kazimierz and little more than 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by tram from the City’s central square. Everything you need is on your doorstep; shops bars and restaurants all near by. Trams and buses to all parts of the City stop nearby. Krakow is a great city to walk around; you won’t need a car to explore it. The apartment is 57 square meters in area comprising of two bedrooms a bathroom and a kitchen living area. The 1st bedroom has two single beds plus a good sofa bed that will sleep two people. There is satellite TV. The 2nd room has a large double bed. The bathroom has a large shower and washing machine. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob and cooker hood. There is also filtered drinking water on tap and a fridge and freezer. In the kitchen is a large table and six comfortable chairs.

The apartment is very conveniently located on the City Centre side of the fashionable Jewish Quarter, Kazimierz. Szeroka Street, made famous in Stephen Spielberg’s film Schindlers List is within 2 minutes’ walk and has many good restaurants and bars. A variety of shops are close by. Krakow’s famous castle, the Wawel, is within ten minutes’ walk as is the River Wisla. The City’s main square, Europe’s largest City Square, is about 10 minute's walk. In the Square is the famous Sukenice where traders sell all types of gifts and jewellery including Poland’s famous Baltic amber. Around the sides of the square are many restaurants and bars. Transport links to the apartment are excellent; with bus and tram stops very near, providing direct links to the Railway Station, around the City and beyond.

Notes to the rental rates

  • There is a discounted weekly rate of £250 only two people stay sharing the same room for seven nights or more, except during July and August when standard rates apply. A deposit of £50 secures the booking. If you cancel more than a month before your stay, we will refund the full deposit. The full amount for the stay is payable a month before your stay commences. A deposit (made with the full payment) of £30 is required for the keys and will be reimbursed upon their return.
    Subject to availability you may amend your booking up to the day before your arrival free of charge. Should you wish to add extra nights you may do so at the standard rate at any time before your departure, if the accommodation is available.
    Payment is preferred in British Pounds or Polish Zloty and can be made by cheque, cash or paypal. We can accept other currencies; please contact us for details.
  • We can arrange to meet you at Krakow Airport for £20 or 100pln (Polish Zloty) plus the cost of your travel to the apartment; approximately 6.5pln (£1.40) per person by public transport or 60pln (£12) for a taxi.
    We can also meet you at the main Railway Station for £10 (50pln), from where you can get a tram or taxi for the short journey to the apartment.
    A guide and interpreter is available for £30 (150pln) per half day (4 hours). Although English is fairly widely spoken in shops and restaurants, they will arrange or accompany you on trips and show you the best parts of Krakow and elsewhere. The apartment was exactly as described on the website, Lovely well equipped kitchen with every utensil you could possibly need, Plenty of cleaning products and the owner even arranged for tea, coffee, sugar & milk to be there for us which was very appreciated.
Huge bathroom with a super hot & powerful shower, Hairdryer, Hand soap, Fluffy towels and soft toilet paper!
Very clean throughout with comfortable beds although we did not need to try out the bed-settee so cannot comment on that.
The only very minor downside was the busy road with trams outside which because I am a countryside dweller took a bit of getting used to! However it only really affects you if you go to bed early as the trams do stop running at approx 11pm.
The owner provided plenty of helpful information such as bus and train numbers before we went and if we were unsure of anything we only had to ask.
Bus and tram stops are very close and the train station is only a 10 minute walk away.
Easy walking distance to Szeroka street (2 mins) and to the old town (can be done in 10 mins but with a nice stroll & window shopping could take longer)
Overall we had a super holiday and this apartment played a huge part of this.
Krakow is a beautiful city and well worth a visit.
