This is a very nicely furnished and decorated spacious first floor self-catering holiday flat with one bedroom to sleep up to four people. There is a bed settee in the sitting room. This comfortable flat is in the centre of the ancient and historic seaside village of Rottingdean, 10 minutes to central Brighton. Only a 30 minute drive away is the port of Newhaven with its regular ferry service to Dieppe, France, This apartment has a pleasant balcony, which catches a lot of sun in the Summer, with table and chairs and various colourful plants. It is an ideal holiday rental as it is only three miles from the bustling city of Brighton yet all the shops that you need are to hand and the seafront is only a very short walk away. The flat is fully equipped with the bed made up and towels put out. Furnished in a comfortable traditional style.

The village of Rottingdean is located right on the coast with an attractive seafront, about 3 miles from the bustling city of Brighton & Hove. It has many interesting features such as old buildings, an ancient church, village Green, an attractive pond, a windmill situated on Beacon Hill, Pubs, shops and restaurants. Good access to the beaches on the seafront(mainly small pebbles). There is a very good bus service to Brighton and also in an Easterly direction to Seaford and the port of Newhaven(about half an hour away) and also to the sunny seaside town of Eastbourne(about 45 minutes away). In a Northly direction there is the historic County town of Lewes(about 30 minutes away by car) with its castle and fascinating little Sussex twittens, old buildings, river and a wide range of very interesting shops. Rottingdean offers only a few holiday rental places and it is believed that the 'Lizzie Loves' flat described here is the only one bedroom self catering property in the village.

Leisure: Rottingdean is a pretty, ancient smugglers downland village with close associations with Kipling, Burne Jones and Enid Bagnold. The award winning Kipling Garden is in the centre of the village, with St Margaret´s Church nearby. Country and cliff walks close by and also with the famous Rottingdean windmill on the cliff top. The well known Undercliff walk is also nearby, with a sea front cafe between Rottingdean and Brighton.

Our favourite Rottingdean flat!

The fact that we have stayed at Lizzy Loves Flat five times over the past four years almost speaks for itself. We would have stayed more frequently if it had been available at the times we needed it. The attraction for us is the charm that resonates throughout the flat. This derives from the tasteful décor and furnishings as well as the effective use of space. The kitchen is compact and well appointed for all one’s culinary needs. There is an attractively decorated double bedroom with ample storage space. The cozy and comfortable sitting room is fitted with a TV, DVD player and more recently internet broadband. The dining niche with skylight is most inviting. The balcony (complete with friendly sea gulls and flora) is a very pleasant place to dine al fresco or just relax in the sun. Parking outside the flat is limited to a few spaces with a 2 hour maximum stay between 9am to 6pm (free overnight) but there is paid parking in a nearby car park or unpaid on-street parking elsewhere in the village. However, the location in the enchanting village of Rottingdean makes it worth the effort. The flat is convenient to interesting shops and good pubs and restaurants (we highly recommend the French Bistro downstairs and the Thai restaurant near the sea front). In sum, we love Lizzy Loves!
