For our dear guests we have tried to preserve the spirit of ancient times with numerous antique details. Our house is located in a quiet and peaceful area of Old Town Dubrovnik.

Name of the street is Nikole Bozidarevica 7. When You enter in the town from the Pile gate on main street it is the 7th street to the right. We can offer You transfer from the airport, harbour or main bus station.

Wonderful Apartment in the centre of the Old Town

As a family with two young children, we found Nives apartments perfect for us. As self-catering is a must for families with young children we had everything that we required. There was not a bath, but the kids sat on the base with the hand-held shower head just fine.

The apartment was lovely and quiet in May, as was Dubrovnik and the weather was stunning, just right. Being in the centre of the Old Town it was absolutely perfect and a just a short stroll to restaurants, the walls, the ferries to the Islands and The Stradun. We were unfortunate enough to end up in Dubrovnik Hospital with our 2 year old for 6 days and could not have coped without Nives. Nives took us to the hospital and acted as interpreter and liason for us the whole time, which was far beyond what you would normally expect from your host!

The apartment was spotless with a lovely outlook over the roofs of the old town toward Mount Srd. It was on the top floor with stairs but our 6 and 2 year olds managed them fine. We recommend Nives not only for her apartments, local knowledge and assistance, but also for the kindness she showed us. We hope to return one day.

A great apartment at the heart of the old town

I stayed in this apartment with my wife from 2/10/09 for 7 days and it was really good. Nives' Son collected us from the airport and also arranged our return transfer. The apartment could not be in a better position. It is off a side street that leads to the Stradun and is close to Spaghetteria Toni.

The apartment was on the 2nd floor and was very clean and had a TV(local stations only) a kitchen and cooker which we used to heat water for coffee and a waching machine in the bathroom which we did not need. The bathroom was relatively small with a shower but perfectly functional.

The only problem we had was the people above were up very early 7am and I think they were rehearsing for river dance for most of the week. Obviously, this is not a complaint just an observation.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful place and we enjoyed exploring the old town (walls, bars, restaurants), Cavtat and Lapad as well as a couple of boat excursions. The place is so clean and safe and I don't think we ever saw the police.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and I hope to return soon.

Finally, it is worth noting that having thought I had lost my wedding ring I was delighted when I returned to collect my bags from the apartment prior to our the flight only to find that the cleaner had found my ring and taped it to my luggage. Just another sign of the lovely people of Croatia.

A lovely stay in the heart of the old town

We spent two weeks in Apartment Nives in October 2008. We chose the apartment because it was well-priced and very central, and we wanted to be close to the action. We were not disappointed, and Nives and her family were very friendly and hospitable towards us.

The apartment is just a couple of streets away from the main street, yet just tucked away enough that there is little disturbance from the street outside (the double glazed windows also help with this) although noise did seem to travel quite well within the building sometimes. There are a couple of flights of stairs up to the apartment, which may prove problematic if you are disabled, or if you have just climbed Mount Srd ;-)

The apartment was tastefully furnished with cleaning / linen change twice a week. The listing on this site is slightly inaccurate - the apartment we stayed in didn't have DVD, internet or a bath.

If you want to cook and eat your own meals, everything you need is there, at least it looked that way, we were too busy trying out the many excellent restaurants to say for sure :-) A good start would be Taj Mahal just round the corner which serves delicious Bosnian food.

We were very glad to be staying so close to the centre of everything - Dubrovnik is a beautiful city and we had a lovely stay. Thank you Nives!
