Luxury 3 Star Apartments - Central Kranjska Gora.

This is an advert for two adjacent apartments which work very well together for two families or a group of up to 14 people. These newly refurbished luxury apartments in central Kranjska Gora have been furnished to a very high standard and they have recently been awarded 3 stars by the Slovenian Tourist Board. They have a comfortable homely contemporary feel, with the self-catering essential - a dishwasher! The apartments are on the 2nd floor of a building with 4 other apts. Each apartment has a lounge, shower room and well equiped kitchen. There is a also one washing machine/tumble dryer. The apartments also have secure basement storage.

Kranjska Gora is a small village situated in the extreme north-western corner of Slovenia 7km from the Italian and Austrian borders. Kranjska Gora is on the edge of the Triglav National Park which encompasses the imposing peaks of the Julian Alps together with vast forests, lakes and waterfalls. The apartment is located centrally just 200m from the village square, 550m from the ski slopes. (Nearest supermarket is 200m). The views of the mountains from the apartment are amazing. Slovenia is roughly the size and population of Wales, it joined the EU in 2004. The currency is the Euro. Although Slovenia has its own language, English is widely spoken, and the people are so friendly we have never had any communication problems. The country has a vast amount to offer, from its unspoilt alpine villages to its Mediterranean coastline. Places to visit include the capital, Ljubljana, the beautiful Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj and the spectacular Postojna caves.

Other Activities Snowboarding

Skiing Information:

Kranjska Gora has a snow range of 809-1570m, is typically rated excellent for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is also host to a world cup slalom run. Ski area: 30 km. 13 blue runs, 4 red and 3 black. 17 lifts (4 chairlifts and 13 drag lifts). 46 snow cannons. Other activities include snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice climbing and sleigh rides. The World Cup is held in Kranjska Gora in March each year, please check ski press for dates. Other skiing opportunities within a 1 hour drive of Kranjska Gora are: Bled, Bohinj, Bovec, Vogel and Tarvisio in Italy.
