Vilamoura holiday apartment: Vilamoura

The apartment was as described in the ad and the views of the Marina were a treat. This is not a five star property so if you are very picky I would avoid but I found it very suitable for myself and my boyfriend for a week. The apartment is large enough for possibly up to four people but there is only one bedroom and one shower. The shared pool was very quiet and had many available sun loungers. The beach is an 8 minute walk around the Marina and it is very clean with amenities and food available. The apartment is ideally located along the marina with lovely views from two separate balconies- one off the bedroom with sun loungers and one off the living area with a table for meals. The towels were changed for us once during our stay and we were asked if there was anything else we needed during that time. There are a few supermarkets nearby and the kitchen is very well equipped for a large group of people with washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board, coffee machine, toaster and a large supply of dishes and kitchen utensils and pots/pans/containers/mixing bowls, etc. I found the bed and pillows uncomfortable but this was really the only draw-back. There is secure parking, all doors had locks and the entire complex is very secure. The location is ideal for exploring other areas in the Algarve as it is easy to get to and well sign-posted. The Marina has many restaurants to choose from, a few bars and a couple of nice shops. If you are going for a meal try to find Il Trio, the Italian restaurant on Rua do Clube Náutico- the staff are fantastic, good wine selection and the food is amazing!
Apart from that the apartment complex was very quiet during our stay and although we had other holiday neighbors we scarcely heard them. I would recommend this apartment to any of my friends and family.
