Villa Berlengas is an elegant, very spacious semi detached guest house South facing and tastefully decorated in a traditional Portuguese style. All ground floor rooms have French sliding windows leading into a beautiful garden with lawn areas and water features, patios pergolas and terraces. Don't miss a 'Siesta' under the shady Carrobtree breathing the smell of orange blossom coming from the close by citrus groves, where you are welcome to pick any seasonal fruit! There is a plunge pool with sun loungers and parasol, BBQ area and car park. Bird life and wild life is exceptionally interesting.

Rental rates for the villa in Tavira region, Algarve, Portugal

Notes to the rental rates

• Rates are for 1 to 6 persons. As the Villa can sleep 8 people, there would be a charge for laundry costs of 25 Euros/week laundry cost for each person more than 6.
  Children's cots are available at 20 Euros/week for the first week, 12,50 Euros for subsequent weeks.
  A 50% deposit must be paid when making a reservation, payment of residue no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival.
  Payment in Euros is preferred. If you pay in another currency, we charge you with any bank fees, which might incur.
  
• If you cancel more than 8 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit will be refundable only if the Villa can be rented again for the same period. Returned deposits will have a 25 Euro processing fee deducted.
  If you cancel less than 8 weeks prior to arrival, no refund will be made, unless the Villa can be rented at the same or a higher rate for the full period. All rates include cleaning before arrival, cleaning and change of linen and towels once per week, and cleaning after departure.
  Also included in the weekly price is use of the plunge pool, outdoor shower, garden, barbeque and eating area.
  If you require use of air condition, there is a charge of 50 Euro/week.
  All linens and towels are provided.
  
• The local agents who look after the apartment will respond to reservation enquiries, so that you can confirm your holiday plans as soon as possible. They are Ingeborg and Regina of Casa Serviço in Tavira. You may contact them by e-mail or telephone as shown in the contact section at the end of this page. They can also help with car hire or arrange airport pick up if you prefer not to hire a car.

TAVIRA - Venice of the Algarve

Tavira, located 8 km to the East, is a picturesque town nicknamed 'Venice of the Algarve', which dates back to 2000 BC an illustration of medieval, renaissance and baroque art, crammed with historic churches, a castle, an ancient Roman bridge, a tuna fish museum (the area is renowned for its fishing history/particularly for tuna), frequent art exhibitions are also on display. Tavira Island and neighbouring beaches have golden sand and are much less frequented, perfect to practice water sports such as scuba diving, surf, kite surf or windsurf. Ideal to relax on during your vacation in Portugal.

OLHAO - Fishing Port of the Eastern Algarve

Olhao, located 8 km to the West, is the main fishing port in the eastern Algarve. The old town is a warren of narrow twisting streets and cubist houses still remaining from the Arab influence.The town is famous for it's Saturday market, where local farmers come from the countryside to sell their fresh home grown products. Here you can find everything for your evening BBQ, the fresh fish is excellent.

FUZETA - Fishing Village

Fuzeta, located 3 km to the South, is a very charming and traditional Portuguese fishing village. Here you can take little ferry boats, over to the island with kilometres of long sandy beaches. The lagoon between the island and main land is warm and calm and therefore offering activities of wind surfing, sailing and diving. Also very suitable for children. Fuzeta provides small but excellent fish restaurants as well as international cuisine. Enjoy the evening in the main square, sitting under big palm trees, sipping your 'Vinho Verde' and listening to the chirping of the cheeky sparrows.

Golf Information:

10 minutes walk away you find Colina Verde - a 9 hole golf course in Maragota. Quinta da Ria/Quinta da Cima golf courses are located 25 km away towards the Spanish boarder. The famous courses at Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo are easily reached in 30 minutes via the A22 motorway. Or cross over to Spain and play the new Esuri course about 20 minutes away via the A22 motorway.
