Cap Esterel review
Review Submitted: May 6, 2008
Date of Stay: May 2007
We have been to Cap Esterel many times staying in this apartment. Our family have had fantastic holidays each year and it gets better each time.
For us, Cap Esterel offers both relaxtion and activities in abundance. The swimming pools, and golf are our main activity - but also we have played tennis and run in the hills and walking along the coastal paths is wonderful. Otherwise we are at the apartment (or pools) just taking it easy, reading, chatting or snoozing ! Cap organises lots of activities, although now we use them less - but I would recommend trying the flying trapeze - it is exhilarating !
Our kids have grown up here too (from ages 5 to 18 now). Cap offers them so much to do, at all ages - when younger they joined circus school or explored their immediate surroundings but their real passion now is chilling around the pool or down on the beach together !
We have met other families down here who have become great friends and we now all visit Cap every year to meet up for a week.
As for the apartment, this is located in the best part of Cap Esterel. Very close to the pools, with fabulous sea views and a large open grass area in front to play in with the kids, before a glass of wine/beer beckons. The circus arena is close by, just in case the flying trapeze does capture your interest - it did mine for a couple of years. The apartment is away from the bustle of the restaurant/shops and main walkways (but still very close to get your morning criossants from the bakery). The little train down to the beach is just a short walk away too. We know Cap Esterel very well now, and the apartment is certainly in one of the best locations on the site.
The apartment itself, is very well equipped and maintained. It comfortably can sleep 6. And it has all those extras (sports/games items , books, maps ...) that you would expect from owners who look after their apartment and add their personal touches - and that all adds to your holiday.
Having a car is useful though not necessary as all amenities are onsite. We have driven down in the past but now tend to fly and hire a car. Hiring a car is well worth it if you don't know the area. Much to see and do. Though now, we tend to stay onsite, as we have been out and about over the years - for us maybe a trip to one or two places that have special memories (and a visit to the local supermarket to stock up !).
Cap Esterel has become very much a part of our family's life. We love it here.
Owner's Response: Our holiday apartment provides an ideal environment for doing as much or as little as you like to help you feel relaxed and invigorated.
