For outdoor enthusiasts Champex offers all round activities. In the winter there is skiing within the village. Access to Verbier and the Four Valleys close by (20 mins drive to Le Chable cable car). In Summer magnificent hikes in the surrounding mountains. Champex is situated on the Tour du Mont-Blanc a challenging circular trail passing through the countries: France, Italy and Switzerland and setting for the Ultra Trail endurance race. For those wishing to relax the village a communal swimming pool and tennis court. Boats are also available to hire on the lake. The region is also know for its natural spas , Lavey les Bains is well situated between Montreaux and Martigny. There is really so much to see and to do and so much delicious Swiss cheese and Swiss chocolate to eat!

Champex is a picturesque village nestled in the Swiss Alps at a height of 1500 mts part of the Mont Blanc Massif In the French speaking Canton of Valais, Champex is ideally located for easy access to both the French and Italian Alps. It is only a 20 minute drive to the historic town of Martigny that contains the ruins of a roman amphitheatre, the world famous Pierre Gianadda Art Foundation, as well as street cafes and restaurants. If you are planning to come to use Champex as a place to relax and walk in the local mountains trails then using public transport is fine. But if you are planning to explore a wider area or use Champex as a base to ski in Verbier or Chamonix then although it is possible to use public transport a car is highly recommended. Champex is a truly great base to explore this wonderful region. Location: Nearest Airport Geneva 152km. Aosta (I) 68 km Chamonix (F) 56 km. Train and bus services to Champex go via Orsière.

Bed linen and fluffy towels are provided. A hairdryer provided in bedroom 1. The appartment can sleep 6 if required as there is a pull out double sofa bed in the Living Room.

Notes:

This light and jolly apartment is well equipped (from for example, DVD player to hairdryer, iron and ironing board). It has been recently furnished to a very high quality. Comfortable with a luxury touches the appartment provides a home from home feel. There is also a real open fire in the living room for that extra cosy feel. A washing machine and dryer are available to use within the building. There is a ski room for keeping skis, snowboards and boots. There is garage parking (the door operated by remote control) and additional external parking for visitors. The kitchen is very well equipped however If you don't fancy eating in there are several restaurants within walking distance. Skiing can be found on the doorstep within the village and also in nearby Verbier / Four Valleys. In the summer there is boating on the lake. The village communal tennis court and swimming pool are also within walking distance (subject to local opening hours).
