Vale do Lobo holiday villa: Almancil

Beautiful villa with wonderful pool and secluded garden. We had 6 teenagers and 2 adults for 1 week and there was plenty of space for us all and plenty for us all to do. Good beaches between 5 and 10 minutes drive away, plenty of restaurants with a wide choice of food and constant all night entertainment in Vale do Lobo for the 16 year olds! We all had a fantstic week and would very happily return.

We have been visiting The Algarve for several years - and often look for a perfect place to stay - we have found this with Villa Alimur. We first stayed in 2008 - and then again in 2009.
All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are finished to a high quality, the newly fitted kitchen is beautiful and blends in well with the rest of the villa. The large garden is also very well maintained and is perfect for reading a book under the shade of the trees. One favourite area of ours is the shaded area outside the villa with the old leather sofa/chairs where you can relax, read the papers...and keep an eye on the kids in the pool.
I could imagine couples, friends, families - large or small staying here....this is definately a place that comfortably sleeps 10...or less....if you like the space to spread out.

The peaceful Villa, the area and local restuarants, Maria (the cleaner), and last but not least, the helpful nature of the owners - makes this a Villa a place that I would highly recommend.

We all really enjoyed staying at Villa Alimur, this is 5 star accommodation and for 9 very picky people it was ideal. The location was great, kitchen was fantastic and perfectly equipped for enthusiastic cooks, the BBQ and outside terrace were just perfect for lazy diners. It was so comfortable we rarely felt the need to go out and we didn't drift far from the pool for long. I have to add that the beds were fantastically comfortable, the linens fresh and the bathrooms were well equipped and very clean. The wood burning fire was very efficient on a couple of evenings and the Sky TV made it very much home from home plus having the i-pod player. It was a lovely relaxing week and we would come back without hesitation. There are some interesting beachside restaurants and bars to visit but you do need a car to get to them. The local shopping facilities were also first class and provided everything you could possibly need.
