Lovely Stay, Lovely Views, Lovely People!

What a glorious location! So near the sea and lovely beaches, great sea views from the jasmine covered balcony, close to a great bakery and super restaurants that cater for everybody. A lovely welcome from the owner's sister (the owner couldn't be there to meet us unfortunately) who were very accommodating and even organised us a cab to and from the airport when they don't usually make such arrangements - really useful for five women who were getting away from it all, didn't want to hire a car and only wanted to lie on the beach, which we did very effectively! The better beach restaurant was the second one - I can't remember the name - beside Angelo's Calla Budoni sunlounger rental. Angelo himself was a gem, really helpful and friendly, and the little beach side restaurant served wonderful, simple pastas and panini all day, pizzas at night. The best restaurant for evening eats by far was Medeus, a 10 minute walk away up the main street. Red wine drinkers will need to try the house red (Euro 10) which was better than anything I have tasted in Britain no matter how much I've paid. Food came with legs, antennae, wonderful home cut potatoes and in plentiful quantites with great service. There were only three small drawbacks: no kettle! A big deal for the British; no basic household supplies such as washing up liquid or toilet roll which you don't want to buy on a short trip; and the drain, particularly in the downstairs toilet, absolutely reeked first thing in the morning though I think this may be something to do with the tides and therefore unavoidable. This certainly shouldn't put you off going as the town and the villa's location are really great, and the Succus are lovely to deal with. We will come again!
Owner's Response: I would like to clarify some things regarding the three drawbacks mentioned. First of all regarding the kettle it is provided in the drawer in the bathroom and always at hand. Regarding the toilet paper we always provide initial basics such as toilet rolls although this is a self catering rental, because we understand the need of essential things at initial arrival. While for the smell that came from the downstair toilet we apologize for the inconvienence, which was caused temporarily by the city work on the plumbing system taking place in that period.
