Directions::
BY AIR: Nice International Airport is 17 miles east of Cannes, and can be reached by taxi or bus in just 30 minutes. There is a coach service in operation between Nice airport and Cannes - coaches leave directly outside the Arrivals Terminal and depart from outside the Hotel de Ville (Town Hall) in Cannes. The coaches run every 30 minutes, from 8am to 7pm and the cost is approx €14 one way / €28 return. Toulon St Tropez airport is another viable option with bargain flights from Ryanair.
BY BUS: There is a direct bus service to the centre of Cannes from the Cote d’Azur airport in Nice. It takes about 20 minutes. The bus station is by the port near the old town and there is a good bus service for the suburbs and outlying towns.
BY TRAIN: The main rail line goes east to Monaco, Menton, Italy and the rest of Europe, with local-line stops at Antibes and Biot. To the west, the line goes to Marseille, Lyon and Paris, with local stops at Frejus.
The Area::
This one bed apartment is perfect for a holiday in Cannes with the beach, stunning climate, great walks by the sea, wonderful food and almost any designer shop you can think of just minutes away.
The apartment is also an ideal base for exploring the Côte d'Azur. There's no need for a car and with Cannes railway station only five minutes away, it's easy to travel up and down the Riviera, from Saint-Raphaël in the West, to Nice, Monaco and the Italian border in the East. There are regular buses up to Grasse, Mougins and the hills behind the town - and you can take the boat to Saint-Tropez or San Remo.
In the winter you can easily reach the fabulous ski resorts of Isola 2000 and Auron - either hire a care and drive or take a train to Nice and a €1 bus from there to the mountains. Beach to snow in just 1.5 hrs!
