Chatham holiday house

The house is beautifully presented and the website is an accurate representation of what you find when you arrive. The kitchen and living room are spacious, well equipped and comfortable and the bedrooms are a good size and quiet overnight. The whole property was very clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed during our visit. The yard is a good size and attractive, 'though it does slope quite steeply in places.

We found the house really well located in terms of easy access (by car) to Chatham town centre and the Cape's towns and beaches. Chatham was the most attractive of the Cape towns that we visited - less obviously commercial than the likes of Hyannis or Provincetown - and has a number of very decent (and busy) restaurants and shops. 'The Captain's Table', 'The Goose at the Wayside Inn' and 'Chatham Squires' all did very good food at reasonable prices. The whale watching trip on the 'Portugese Princess' out of Provincetown was fantastic. Scenic route 6A along the top of the Cape is a lovely drive and the attractions such as the Heritage Collection & Gardens at Sandwich and the Natural History visitor centre were both well worth a visit. There's a great 'Pirate Cove' mini-golf course on the outskirts of Hyannis.

Being in the middle of the Cape the house made both Sandwich to the West and Provincetown to the North easily accessible - no problems with traffic in late August. It's a really good base to see the rest of the Cape. I'd recommend it pretty much to anyone.
