The apartment is located in “residential Paris” , in Montmratre. Square Carpeaux is literally next door and invites you to relax and read a book or just bask in the Paris Sunshine. The quiet surroundings of Marcadet are inviting after a day’s sightseeing. Perhaps you might decide to get off the 95 bus at Damremont and make your way back to the apartment stopping in the small local shops to pick up a few items for dinner. There may also be time for a cup of tea or an espresso and a pastry in one of the local coffee shops. The surrounding area is home to some very good restaurants which are definitely worth a visit. Sacre Coeur - one of Paris' most visited sites is a great point from which to get a view of the city and walk in the footsteps of the great painters and sculpters

About the Apartment: Enjoy French living in this 6th floor spacious apartment at 226 Rue Marcadet in Montmartre. From the moment you step into the impressive Entrance hall you will know that this apartment is something special. The sitting room is located to the front of the property - warm and comforting with subtle colours and cosy chairs. From the balcony enjoy the view of Square Carpeaux with the sound of local children at play and, if you listen carefully, you may hear the deep concentration of local chess players in action. The balcony, and Square Carpeaux are ideal spots to take your book and escape for a while. If you wish to catch up on some holiday emails, a laptop with WIFI internet access is also available. Or perhaps just relax and listen to a CD. From the sitting room, the long corridor leads to a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need should you wish to whip up an inspired French dish from the excellent local produce.

About the apartment continued: Take a long soak in the large tub in our spacious marble bathroom with no interruptions as the toilet is separate and located next door. The apartment has two bedrooms, overlooking the courtyard. The main bedroom with its warm tones and calm photographs has a queen bed for comfort. The sheers on the window allow for privacy and there is no shortage of space to store your belongings. The second bedroom, located at the end of the corridor, has two single beds, which we can easily convert to a queen-size bed if you prefer. Its yellow tones, sheers and calm photographs make it a peaceful and private retreat. We hope your stay in Paris and at Prestigious Montmartre is a very enjoyable one.

This has been one of the most pleasant self-catering apartments we have stayed in that we feel compelled to comment on it! Everything within the apartment worked well, and it is well equipped,down to the guide books and the laptop. The box of toys kept our younger son occupied. The location of the apartment was perfect; quiet but close to all amenities. It's a great base for exploring the 4 corners of Paris and beyond.

Prestigious Montmartre Had It All!

We were three professional women vacationing in Paris, two of us for the first time. After much internet searching, we finally agreed on this agency and apartment. We liked the quick response we received to our questions, as well as the process for securing the apartment.
The description for this apartment regarding location, layout and facilities was accurate. The apartment is situated in a great neighbourhood with easy access to the bus and subway systems. The building was well-maintained and secure. Across the street was a local bakery and just up the street was a great little restaurant (La poste). We especially liked the layout of the apartment. There was a lot of room for all of us to have our own space and the rooms were spacious. The apartment was very well-equipped (modern kitchen, great towels, beds and bedding, washer, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, shopping trolley, laptop, internet, cable television, and our favourite--free long distance calling!). We were able to call home and speak to our families daily! The only problem we encountered was the dust and dirt under the beds and other furniture. But, when we called for housekeeping services, the response was immediate and our needs were met. A thorough vacuuming of the floor surfaces would eliminate this problem. We saw first hand how the owner provided excellent customer service! We really appreciated the welcome basket, the binder full of helpful information and the maps. The cookies in the basket were delicious! Also, the return of the security deposit was quick. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends. The neighbourhood was quaint, the location was perfect and the local businesses more than met our needs. We especially like the bistro La poste which was just up the street. We have since said that if we were to return to Paris, we would definitely like to stay here again!

Prestigious Monmartre

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment - it was close to metro stations, good food shopping, restaurants, and Sacre Coeur. An interesting area, and with the park opposite, it was ideal for children or quiet reading. The amenities were excellent, the apartment clean, modern and above expectations. The welcome basket of goodies and thefriendly service from the owners were also appreciated and most welcome.

We would recommend the apartment to friends and would like to revisit when next in Paris.

We stayed in Paris for Christmas and wanted something comfortable for our Family. This apartment was perfect for us and is much more suitable than a Hotel Room or two
connecting Hotel Rooms.

The location is close to The Metro and Shops. The appartment has high quality chattels and is finished to a very high standard. Having a kitchen and dining table and a lounge makes for a Family 'at home and relaxed setting' .

While we like eating out and did a lot of it on holiday it is also nice to be able to enjoy a simple meal or Family Favourite in private.

The computer is a valuable resource for finding information on 'what to do tomorrow and how to get there'

We spent a month touring Europe and This apartment in Paris was the best of any of our accomodation.
