Tyloft is located facing the cathedral on a semi-pedestrian square. With a very attractive view on the old Quimper this 'hotel particulier' (private mansion) of the 12th century opens its doors to you. You will be seduced by its gothic staircase cathedral style, with a very easy access(2nd floor), its impressive beams and its parquet floor. TyLoft has been completely renovated and decorated to the highest standards. A living room with mantel piece, a dining room 'wengé', a modern plates and dishes and a red gloss open kitchen fully equipped with a snack bar for more conviviality. With numerous paintings, you can get low lights in every room thanks to the light variators.This loft has a bag of charm. At the back, three rooms are decorated in warn color of chocolate and flax that give a relaxing aspect. Confortable, spacious and including everything you need for a self-catering holiday you will felt at home in this property.

Quimper is a beautiful medieval city. With its pedestrian streets, lively cafes, good boulangeries, gastronomic restaurants, 'crèperie' and chic boutiques. Les Halles (covered market) just a few steps away. Town of art and culture, Quimper has museums, a faience manufacture and a Cathedral and three cinemas and a mediathèque. In the summer they often host art exihibitions and music concerts. It is in the middle of the historic center, that TyLoft, a mansion of the XII century, opens its doors to you. Quimper is an ideal base for those who are looking for family beaches, and water sports (15mins) but also for those who are looking for authenticity, high rocky cliffs, wide open beaches, and small sheltered bays.

  • Our price included : 2 rooms (2 adults and children under 13 years) with a car park under video monitoring from June to August - In low and middle season we can reserve a car park for 25 euros/week. If you want to rent a third room the price is 50 euros/ per week . The local taxes are included in the basic fixed price. Add 1,25e /per night/ per adult over 13 years old if you are more than 2 adults and 2 kids. Banking fees on your charge. 30% of account not refundable.
  • Our price included : household, beds are made for your arrival, hiring, bath towels and a bottle of cider for a weekly rental. Those littke extra are provided, soap, dish soap, dish towels, paper rolls.
  • In May we accept reservation during the bridges of 1st, 8th, Pentecôte and Ascencion ask for the details. Bridge 1st of May 30-2/5 and bridge of 7-9/5 280e for 1 or 2 rooms and 310e for 3 rooms rentals. Ascencion bridge 13-16/5 and Pentecôte bridge 21-24/5 350e for 2 rooms and 380e for 3 rooms rentals.

  • We disposed of 3 bedrooms . A parental suite with dressing (16m²), with many arrangements, under beams and parquet floor is facing west. Warn colors of havana and beige with filtred light give a relaxing aspect. A children rooms (10m²) with 2 single beds, under beams and parquet floor. A junior room (10m²) with a double bed under beams and on parquet floor. All the rooms are confortable, decorated with great care with new furniture and linen. Beds are made up for your arrival.

Notes: The carpark is located under the Theater's square at 100m approximatively of TyLoft in the prologation of a semi-pedestrian street with pretty boutiques and lively cafes. The carpark is under video monitoring and included in the price from June to August. In low and middle season add 25 euros for the week to reserve it. another free carpark is available a little further.The newly hand built kitchen has been fitted out with all new appliances and has a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, an electric multifonctions oven/grill/microwaves, 4 ring stove and hob. Teapot, coffee machine, toaster, citrus press agrum, mixor and dish towels are provided.

This was almost perfect. Great location, fabulous architecture and attention to detail with art and lighting were fantastic.The views were lovely.The property was clean and tidy. The furniture, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were of very good standard. Constant hot water and heating if necessary.The bathroom was not so good.

Silly things let the property down. Parking is not private - outside you can only park for 2 hours from 09.00 - 18.30 and you have to pay. It is free between these times. Parking is free at car parks away from the centre.

There is a hob but no oven. There is not one thing you can use to make proper coffee - not even a kettle, though there is a toaster. No hairdryer or safe that we could find.

To get to the loft you have to go up 34 stone spiral steps - very daunting if you are not too good on your legs - this should be mentioned.

Also. despite its location which is fabulous, this is not a quiet holiday - it is a lively cobbled city centre with traffic - it is noisy from 04.30 - midnight. Bedrooms are at the back and it is quieter there.

Good restaurants are thin on the ground - plenty of good creperies and bars. Les Halles (covered market) just a few steps away and is great. Lots of good boulangeries too.

I would recommend this to fit people.
