Gelso is a spacious villa, traditionally restored, with a welcoming atmosphere. It has a warmth inside with lovely curtains, comfortable sofas, large dining room and is furnished with some antiques of the owners family. It is bright and airy inside and sleeps 8 people with 4 bedrooms and a cottage in the grounds has 2 bedrooms, perfect for teenagers or two families wishing to holiday together. (Sleeps 12 in total) Mediterranean herbs, fruit trees, panoramic views, barbeque and a secluded swimming pool makes your summer holiday complete. Villa Gelso is a romantic hideaway just inside the National Park, full of adventurous walks to places of myth and legend, Visit 'Hell's Gorge' 'Paradise Hill' The 'Rebel Frairs Caves'. Tourist maps and leaflets are supplied and a maid service if required. Linen and towels are provided, and a welcome pack of some essentials and food can be booked in advance. The owner is available for help and advice.

Up 3 steps to: bathroom with shower; utility room with washing machine. 1 st floor: 1 twin bedded room; 3 double bedrooms with wonderful views and each individually furnished with antique furniture; large bathroom with bath. Swimming pool (11 x 5 metres) also with panoramic views. Cottage if required.

With stunning views and on a quiet 'white' road it is in a peaceful rural location, with ever-changing scenery making it a captivating place. Only 10 minutes by car from the village of Amandola and the medieval hill-top town of Sarnano, Gelso is also not far from impressive historical and cultural towns such as Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, with their cathedrals, art museums and of course, designer shopping! For the lover of Italian fashion, Marche is home to a number of designer outlet stores such as Prada and Armani, and shoe factories with outlets, such as 'Tod's'. Visit the churches with wonderful paintings, the Abbey of Fiastra, the Roman ruins of Urbs Salvia, the 14th c. frescoes in Tolentino, the incredible Frassasi Caves, wine-makers and vineyards, lakes and mountains, beaches and genuine local Italian food! Wow what a location. Look no further for a holiday home if you want secluded beautiful views. Owner was helpful and the house is lovely inside, would definitely recommend this property. We took advantage of having an Italian lady cook for us a special meal one evening using all local ingredients, it was magical.

Very comfortable stay. Property clean/well maintained. Owners met us in a village locally and showed us to the house. Spacious and on the whole well furnished and well equipped though a few more wardrobes/mirrors might not have gone amiss! Definitely need a car but as we had one this was not a problem. Yes, would recommend this property and would use it again if in the area. We took my elderly parents who also loved it and managed fine.
