This unbelievable ski area is fully interconnected, boasting a high performance lift system, with its geographical location guaranteeing exceptional snow cover from early in the season. The 128 snow cannons ensure maximum skiing throughout the season. This 'powder paradise' offers endless possibilities from its 'Jam-Park' for all snow riding fans, with its own reception area, sound system, snow parties and more.... to off-piste in the Combe de Gers or leisurely blue runs connecting Flaine to Sixt Fer à Cheval. A magnificent setting for all types of winter sports.
Or you can find 30 kms of cross-country tracks in the highest cross country area and best snow cover of the Alps. Not forgetting snow shoeing, dog-sledding, ice-skating on the out-door rink, swimming at the heated indoor pool, with paddling pool and water garden for toddlers. There are saunas and more at the Top Form Centre.
STEP OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR.....:
Everything is at a few minutes walk from the studio - a few paces from the front door is the shopping centre of Flaine Forum, with pharmacy, bank, tourist office, supermarket, ski hire, fashionable ski-wear, pubs and restaurants, and take the free outside lift at a few paces to the upper centre of Flaine Foret, for more shopping, pubs, night-life, etc! The swimming pool is at the same level as the appartment, at about 1 minutes walk.
SUMMER IN FLAINE:
Spectacular mountain walks, amongst wild flowers in July and August give opportunities to appreciate views over the high Alps, and especially Mont Blanc. Other summer activities include mountain biking, parapente, tennis, swimming. The golf course at the top of the village allows spectacular views while enjoying your game. A music festival in August brings many opportunities to enjoy frequent evening concerts.
