Le Petit Plessis is situated on the edge of a small hamlet in a lovely rural location with 25 acres of pasture and woodland.This beautiful area of rolling,part wooded countryside stands south of the famed Dordogne River with its classically beautiful scenery.The stone barn has been converted into a comfortable holiday home,featuring beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls,providing charm and character combined with modern facilities.The ground floor provides a good size open plan dining/sitting area with comfortable furniture and woodburning stove.Well equiped modern kitchen area.Bedroom one with 2 single beds, a double bedroom area on a mezzanine floor.There is a large shower room,separate WC.Outside there is a private large terrace with wooden outdoor furniture and BBQ.Private parking.

Le Petit Plessis is in a wonderfully quiet rural location, and was great to return to at the end of a busy day. It is fitted to a very high standard, and has everything you could need. The owners, Peter and Nataly were charming and friendly and full of advise and info as to where to visit, and made us very welcome without being intrusive. I would happily recommend this property for people who are looking for a relaxing getaway. Their is plenty of garden for if you want to play football or play frisbee, and the roads are quiet and great for cycling, but as it is so rural, you need to be prepared to drive to the atttractions. There are lots of great places to visit and we went kayaking on the River Dordogne twice.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Peace and tranquility in a wonderful location

We enjoyed our 5 days at Le Petit Plessis and would have loved to have stayed twice as long but time did not permit. The cottage was very well equipped and maintained and had everything to make for a very comfortable stay. Peter and Natali are very kind and gracious hosts which made our stay that much more pleasant. We enjoyed some delightful walks around the surrounding country lanes, rarely seeing any traffic. The location, between the Lot and Dordogne makes so many interesting spots in both areas just a short and pleasant drive away. If we had more time available, we would have enjoyed just sitting around the cottage enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside, but, we wanted to explore as much of the surrounding area as possible and we sit around and relax enough at home.
Over the past few years we have stayed in ten gites in France, Spain and Portugal and have had no complaints, finding all of them to be comfortable and enjoyable. However, we both have no hesitation in placing Le Petit Plessis in the "Number 1" spot in all categories in our rankings. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and family.
