This luxury apartment is located on the ground floor of a historic canal house at the junction of Herengracht and Brouwersgracht. In 2007, Brouwersgracht was elected the most beautiful canal of Amsterdam. The house was built in 1612 and fully renovated brining it to its former glory. The apartment offers a living room, bedroom with Auping double bed, bathroom with bathtub and shower and a kitchenette. Living and bedroom look out over the Brouwersgracht. Feel the rich history of Amsterdam in this former residence of Dr. Tulp, portayed by Rembrandt in his 'Antonomy Lesson'. It looks out at the West Indies house where was decided to found New Amsterdam, the later New York. The apartment is in walking distance to Central Station, Dam square, de Jordaan with its street markets and restaurants, the Anne Frank House. Two persons maximum. The minimum stay is 3 nights. No smoking.

We were absolutely delighted with Herengracht apartment.
It was most certainly the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Very quiet and beautiful position, but yet very close to the centre and all the attractions. The apartment itself was spotless and had all the facilities needed to make our stay so great. John the owner provided an excellent service from start to finish. We highly recommend Herengracht and when we return to Amsterdam we wont be staying anywhere else!

Perfect place - Excellent value for money

My wife and I recently had the distinct pleasure to stay in this beautiful historical canal house which is located at the junction of two of Amsterdam's characteristic canals: Herengracht & Brouwersgracht. A very picturesque spot indeed!
The apartment is very comfortable and extremely well laid out. In spite of its central location, once indoors we did not hear any noise from traffic, passers by or the many boats which come cruising along.
A separate living and sleeping area provide more than enough space to enjoy in between the many strolls we took in the city. We enjoyed a few days of beautiful Amsterdam weather and spent quite a bit of time sitting outside on the comfortable chairs provided like many of the locals do on the wide sidewalk opposite the house and enjoyed 'being one with the city'. Some drinks and snacks from the nearby stores made for a few priceless evenings!
John and Ido are extremely gracious and knowledgeable hosts and provided us with many tips making our visit even more special.
In short - the apartment is not only located very well, but also very comfortable enabling us to experience Amsterdam like and among the locals. We'll treasure this very special experience for a long long time and are already planning our next visit!

This is a very pleasant apartment with an excellent position, clean warm and cared for. There is a fabulous restaurant just opposite.
The owner lives in the building, but did not interfere in our wonderful stay. We will be back! Rosemary and Ben
