Beautifully restaured castle and outbuildings in West Dordogne

This family property was built in the 18th century on a medieval site in the beautiful and once famous village of Saint Privat des Pres in West Dordogne. The castle and four houses (the logis) are composing the main courtyard. The houses are made of white stone, particular in the South of France. They are arranged with refinement and have been entirely renovated and refurbished by an architect and a decorator . The park, planted with remarkable trees, extends on several hectares of walking strolls. A large bathing basin of spring water (650sqm) and its dedicated pool house decorate this imposing and country surroundings. The famous village of Aubeterre is nearby (5km).On the verge of Périgord, in Charente, Aubeterre was built around a buckle of river Dronne. Aubeterre is classified today ' One of the Most beautiful Villages of France '. To see absolutely, the subterranean Church Saint Jean. This monolithic Church was dug in the cliff which dominates the river.

Chateau de Saint Privat is a luxurious 18th century house in a quiet village of Dordogne, 12kms from the city of Riberac. The property has lovely views with great walks above the village. Chateau de Saint Privat des Pres and its outbuildings (4 logis) can be rented all together (sleeping up to 25 persons) or can be rented as single units (up to 8 persons). In the luxury park planted with ancient trees is a large pool (650sqm) and its dedicated pool house with own kitchen, showers and toilets. Le Logis pourpre : up to 8/9 persons Ground level : large dining room and large living room with wood paneling and fireplace, spacious parqueted master bedroom with en suite shower room, kitchen with high quality cooking supplies, in dependant toilets. A sweeping wood staircase leads to the first floor with 3 large parqueted bedrooms, with en suite charming bathroom and toilet.

    Cancellations made more than 6 weeks prior to arrival will forfeit deposit only. Less than 6 weeks forfeit the full amount unless we are able to relet.
    Price includes water, electricity and central heating. Linen will be supplied once a week and shall only be used in teh house.
