Photos and Description of this Kea holiday house A self-catering three bedroom house with terrace and view in traditional village

Almost 20 yrs ago I moved from London to Kea (Ioulida) and renovated two run down houses. The first house my family and I inhabit and the second, adjacent one was designed as a residence for holidays and therapy - catering for people who stutter. This house is now available for families who wish to spend their holidays on Kea in a simple and authentic environment. As far as possible we have maintained the original style of the village house (stone) but obviously have hot running water and other modern facilities! Although we are not luxurious, all our foreign visitors have enjoyed their stay as we always try to make your stay as pleasant as possible and hope to invite you for a Greek meal at some point during your stay.

Location: Kea in Greece

Nearest Beach: beach at 8000 Metres
The house is located high up in the village of Ioulida (capital). Parking facilities are available within a 5 minute walking distace (uphill/downhill) but cars can be brought nearer for unloading of suitcases,etc. The village is car-free as it has narrow streets with steps everywhere. A wood fire bakery and mini-market are situated only a few blocks from the house. The main square of the village is within 5 minute walking distance (downhill) and 10+ (uphill) - this depends on your fitness! There are several tavernas, cafes and bars around there. Numerous magnificent beaches (remote or more popular) can be reached by car and car rental is available on the island. The Island is renowned for it's ancient (2000years plus!) footpaths, some leading to archaeological sites. Furthermore, Athens is near enough for a day trip to the Acropolis, subject to boat schedule.
