La Orotava holiday villa

The villa in Oratave in northern Tenerife is actually two villas. Each has a double bedroom with en-suite, a large reception room, a fully equipped kitchen in each, plus a a shower room and toilet in each. Total of four bathrooms/toilets. The villa is tastefully decorated and well furnished. The exquisite finishing touches have been done by the owner who used to work with Laura Ashley. The villa is on a hill-side surrounded by extensive vine yards and orchards. The numerous terraces give uniterrupted views of the superb Mount Tiede peak and the town of Puerto de la Cruz below. There is a cheap and rustic Canarian restaurant two minutes up the hill which serves great barbacued meat and large quantities of the super local wine. The swimming pool (paid separately if you want it heated) and the spa are both very nice on a sunny day or even on a cold evening. The owner's son, Pablo, is very good and attentive in ensuring that your stay at the villa is comfortable and relaxing. He went out of his way to ensure that we were not inconvinienced or unhappy in any way. The price is a bit on the high speed but the high quality of the villa and the very sincere and attentive owners make it worthwhile. Recommended.
