The Algarve:
The Algarve has a temperate climate almost all year round, and has about 300 days of sunshine a year. The tourist season extends from March to October, and it only really starts to slow down in the winter time. The Algarve boasts some of the best beaches which are unspoilt and rated to be amongst the best in the world.
From Albuferia,travel west along the A22 and explore the South Westerly tip of Europe, the stunning beauty of Sagres, Cape St Vincent, and magnificent Monchique mountains. Watersports such as snorkelling, swimming, big game fishing are extremely popular along the Algarvian coastline, as are the many different boat trips that are available, so that the caves and grottoes may be explored. There are many Theme Parks and water Parks, so you can be sure the children will be kept entertained.
Local Food:
The local food can only be described as delicious, with a huge variety to choose from , from traditional Portuguese restaurants, open air fish restaurants barbeceuing the catch of the day, Italian, Chinese, English, and excellent steak houses for the more heartier appetite, all to be accompanied by either a glass of the local wine or beer (both equally good) what more can one say!!!
