San Soucis is a new 3 bed detached villa on a private gated residence in the medieval town of Aigues Mortes. The house has full air conditioning and satellite tv. There is a large enclosed terrace which is great for children and families. There is a full set of outdoor recliners on the terrace, and an 8 seat dining set on the patio. The patio has a large pergola which provides complete shade for the dining area. The three bedrooms are configured as two doubles (one en-suite) and one twin. The house enjoys a large enclosed shared pool with sundeck for the use of residents, the pool is very safe for children. The house has flat screen tv's, dvd library and a small book/magazine library. There are bicycles and golf clubs for use by guests in the garage. The area is wonderfully served by great beaches, watersports, horse riding, golf, great restaurants and superb vineyards. The Camargue National Park is on your doorstep, and the region is steeped in culture and the arts.

Nearest Train: Aigues Mortes 5 mins at 1 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 4.0 Kilometres

Area is excellently served with things to do and places to go. Aigues Mortes is a perfectly intact walled 12th Century Medieval Town with ramparts you can walk, dozens of marvellous restaurants, cafes, art galleries and designer craft shops. The main gate into the town is a 2 min walk from the front door. The Roman towns of Nimes and Avignon are about 45 min away, Montpellier is a beautiful city and only 20 mins by car with easy parking. The beaches are wonderful, the closest only 5 mins by car (15 mins by bicycle) and safe for bathing. There is a great variety of watersport activity available minutes from the house. A Robert Trent Jones championship golf course is only 10 mins away in La Grand Motte. The Camargue National Park is up the road where you can horse ride and pony trek. There is a good size bicycle rental facility across the road from the residence. There is excellent fishing available close by on the canal, on the river and onshore and offshore. Barcelona is 3 hrs away.

Golf: There are excellent golfing opportunities in the region. The Robert Trent Jones championship course at La Grande Motte is only 10 mins away, there are many other good courses in a 45 km radius of the house.

Skiing: The Pyrenees are about a 2 hr drive, Andorra is a highly regarded skiing destination with good facilities, good snow and equipment hire. This makes the house an ideal all year round option.

Sailing: There are really good sailing facilities close to the house. The largest marina on the Med is about 20 mins away at Port Camargue. There is boat and yacht rental/charter available with or without crews. there is also a good variety of catamaran and small sailboat rental available all along the coast, in Aigues Mortes and at the beaches.

Great holiday in September

We spent the most wonderful time in Aigues Mortes: the house is located just outside the pretty cosy town, near the canal. There are lots of walking and cycling possibilities. The Mediterranean is 5 minutes away with plenty of fantastic beaches.
The house is quite spacious (it was certainly plenty of space for two of us), very comfortable and situated in the middle of a very quiet and neighbour –friendly residential area. All in all, we loved it, certainly would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a calm unadventurous holiday. We would be looking forward to being back there again.

Aigues Mortes was a brilliant place to stay, and so was this villa.

Well located, clean, comfortable and well-maintained it was a true home from home. We appreciated the fact that the kitchen had a well-stocked spice rack and all the necessary implements. The previous week we had stayed somewhere without salt & pepper or tea towels! We found the visitor’s book in the villa particularly helpful regarding where to eat out in the town and places to go. The town is only 5 minutes' walk away. Very convenient for eating out and visiting the castle and ramparts.

Only two of us were staying, so we had plenty of space. The house was on a quiet estate with security gates and there is also a communal swimming pool, although we didn’t use it. The owner and keyholder were both helpful and friendly as well.

Excellent Family Holiday

We had an excellent holiday. The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious, with everything you should need, including fishing equipment which kept my son amused for hours. The complex has a selection of rented holiday homes and Resident French. It is very family friendly. The shared pool is enclosed by a fence and needs security key to enter making it safe for young ones The villa is in an excellent spot close to the town, five minutes walk and you are within the walled town full of shops and numerous restaurants. There are several beaches a short drive away. Nearest about 3 miles. The owner very kindly provided us with lots of information of the area, which we found very useful. We would definitely think of returning for another holiday.
