Newly redecorated and furnished, sunny 3 bedroom, 2nd (top) floor apartment in Hermanus Beach Club complex with stunning views. Large private terrace with braai (BBQ), picnic table and sun loungers providing outstanding outdoor living space. Fantastic views of sea and mountains on all sides. You will be able to watch whales from the comfort of your sun lounger! Two excellent golf courses nearby. Hermanus Beach Club offers lots of entertainment: communal gardens, tennis courts, swimming pools, miniature golf, squash, gym, pool tables, volley ball, lounge with large screen TV, fully licensed bar and a small shop. The coast beside the Beach Club is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Hermanus centre at 3km has lots of restaurants, shopping, old harbour, museums, sandy beaches and cliff top walks.

Hermanus is situated on the coast, 120 km south east of Cape Town and is around a 90 minute drive from Cape Town airport. Hermanus is a quaint, friendly town; famous for being inhabited by Southern Right Whales every year between August and November. It is considered to be the best place in the world for whale watching. Opportunities for all sorts of water and land based-activities in the area including shark diving, surfing, hiking and golf. There are many fine restaurants, cliff top walks and sandy beaches in and around Hermanus. Walker Bay wineries, including the famous Hamilton Russell, are within a 15 minute drive. The wine growing regions of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are just over an hour's drive through stunning scenery and mountain passes.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Changeover day is negotiable
  • Rental prices are all-inclusive of electricity and water with an additional fee of R350 per rental for post clean and laundry. A 50% deposit is payable to confirm your booking. Payment of this deposit can be made, in Rand or Sterling, by PayPal (with a small fee) or by direct transfer to a SA or UK bank account. The balance of the rental and the R350 cleaning fee are payable on arrival . A breakages deposit equal to 1 night's rental is also payable on arrival, and this will be refunded should there be no major damage, loss of keys, etc. (This can either be paid in cash, or credit card details provided) Once the deposit has been received, we will send you details of directions, arrangements for collection/return of keys and an information pack. Check in time is 2pm, check out by 10am (negotiable). Cleaning and bed linen change is available during your stay if required, at a cost of R350 per time
  • Discounts are available for stays of 3 weeks or longer.

Notes: 3 piece suite in living room seats 6 comfortably. Kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, combination oven / microwave / grill and 2 fridges. There is a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools. Large private terrace (64 m2) provides additional outdoor living space with stunning views. On the terrace there is a braai (BBQ), large picnic table, 4 sun loungers and 2 shell-back chairs. The picnic table can easily accommodate 6 - 8 people. Hair dryer, iron and iron board provided. CD player / radio provided; takes input from MP3 player or iPod via USB cable (cable not provided). TV (4 basic channels) and DVD player in apartment plus large screen TV in Beach Club cafe / bar. Bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided. Within the complex there is a laundry room with washing machines, tumble driers and outdoor drying facilities.

Golf courses: There are two excellent golf courses with a short drive of the apartment.

Arabella Golf Club: voted the number two golf course in South Africa and the top golf course in the Western Cape; home to the Nelson Mandela Invitational. The course is 6381 metres in length, par 72. Designed by Peter Matkovich, the 18 holes encompass the mountain backdrops, lagoon frontage and forests just outside Hermanus. Visitors are welcome.

Hermanus Golf Club: 18 hole parklands course in Hermanus, designed by Bob Grimsdell, 6025 meters long, par 72. It is set in magnificent scenery with views of the sea and a backdrop of the mountains. Wild life and natural Cape flora are attractive features and the many trees provide the beauty for ideal golfing terrain. Has become one of the most popular golf courses in the country - a definite 'must play' course. This is a private course, offering privacy to the members, yet accessibility to the public.

The views from the super large balcony were amazing! We saw whales on many occasions. Clean apartment, perfectly located on a rocky beach. Near shops and a 10 min drive to spectacular swimming beaches. Swimming pool a definite bonus.

Thank you so much for a excellent stay in Hermanus beach club. The apartment was great - the fresh flowers really made us feel welcome!- and the view we had from te apartment was just breathtaking!!!
