This immaculate, fully refurbished townhouse is a 40 min drive from Reus Airport and 30 min to an outstanding, blue flag beach. Miravet is magical. Quiet, clean and safe with exquisite scenery, historic landmarks (entry to the castle is free on Tuesdays!) and an awe-inspiring, river-fronted village square. Much of the land is dedicated to fruit trees and in Summer, tractors and horses are a delightfully common sight. The village has a superb, open air swimming pool, co-op, restaurant, cash point, ceramic shops and 2 cafe/bars. If you need specific provisions, Mora D'ebre (5 min), has supermarkets, internet cafe, designer shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars. The nearest beach (Hospitalet De L'infant), is surrounded by dramatic scenery and has a spotless promenade and harbour. The beach is very Spanish - so not many tourists. Discover Roman remains in Tarragona (40 min), excellent shops/resturants in Reus (45 min) and 'Port Aventura' water park in Salou (45 min).

Miravet is one of many beautiful villages and towns dotted along the great River Ebro, although we do consider our village is the one with the best views! There are no shortage of places to visit both locally and further afield and you'll find a wide range of outdoor activities for both families and couples alike. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, it's only 1 and 1/2 hours to Barcelona and just 2 hours to Valencia! Are you a keen fisherman/woman? If so, the Delta Ebre region is famous for and one of the best places to catch catfish. Experience truly unspoilt Spain and the traditonal celebrations, inc: local fetes, fairs and markets which occur many times throughout the year. Immerse yourself is the community atmosphere of the Catalonian people and their wonderfully laid-back lifestyle. NOTE: Hardly anything is open on a Sunday, so if you are arriving on a Saturday, we highly recommend stocking up on food and drink as soon as you spot a shop.

  • We require £100 deposit (refundable) and 50% of the rental charge, at least 8 weeks before you go.
    The remaining 50% of the rental must be paid in full, no less than 6 weeks before your departure date.
    Failure to pay the remaining balance or canceling your booking without 4 weeks notice, will result in loss of your deposit and 50% of the rental fee.
  • We ask that payment is made via instant bank transfer. This can be done very easily with on-line banking.
    The deposit of £100 will confirm your booking but is fully refunded at the end of your stay, provided nothing is damaged or broken.

    Once funds have reached the account, you will receive a confirmation email and your booking will be made.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We prefer to rent the house to couples or 2 people sharing, for 2 main reasons: 1: The house has 3 flights of stairs and no handrails. Although all stairs have anti-alp treads, the safety of young children is paramount, so if there will be young children staying in the house, we ask you sign a disclaimer and take full responsibility for the element of risk. 2: The water is heated by immersion and the tank is not big - you'll need to heat the water again after 2 showers.

The house is gorgeous, the cleanliness and condition of everything in the property was first rate. Facilities and provisions in the house was spot on (especially the fanrastic welcome pack which was much appreciated).

Miravet village is simply beautiful and the village square with the river Ebro running through is spectacular.

The holiday went without a hitch and we had great days out in Tarragona and Reus.

Can't thank the owners enough for such a fabulous place to stay and the memory foam mattress on the bed was an added bonus!

We will certainly be coming back next year.

I stayed at this lovely property in early April 2009. Miravet was a beautiful Medieval Village with many amenities, all within walking distance. The house was well equipped and we lacked for nothing.
The village had a bakers, butchers, two supermarkets and 4-5 bars. The highlight for us was the restaurant Moli dexim, located just off the square. My teenage daughter and friend enjoyed themselves greatly even though there is no Night life as such. My ten year old found great delight in the bird sanctuary, located on the left road walk into the village. The roof terrace was lovely with beautiful views of the Village and Knight Templars castle, which is free on Tuesdays. Also well worth a visit was the sweeping Spanish beach of L'Hospital de l'enfant, and the beautiful city of Tarragona, also on the coast. The drive alone was extremely pretty and provided the most exquisite scenery. I would definately recommend this property for anyone wanting a getaway from it all type holiday. Well done Tim and Joanna for providing such a charming, welcoming clean home for the week. Canoes were also available for hire but we didn't take this up.

A refreshing spanish experience

House and facilities beyond reproach. Miravet is well placed for kayaking and cycling with coast and beach only 30 minutes away. The village has a municipal swimming pool 6 minutes walk from the house at an extortionate 2 euros per day per person! We look forward to returning to Miravet again. We visited many of the local villages from Horta St Joan, Gandesa, Pinell de Brai, Mora, Benifallet, Benissanet and in our opinion Miravet offers the best in terms of connectivity, ambience etc and as such believe that the village is an excellent centre for a non beach activity /sight seeing vacation. Tourist information for this region is in abundnace and is well written.

Immaculate house in stunning countryside!

Just returned from Miravet which we thoroughly enjoyed, the house is lovely, very stylish with fantastic views. After staying in other private homes throughout the years, it was nice to eventually find comfortable beds and clean furniture!
We hired a car and visited Reus - a real find, Tortosa and the roman city of Tarragona which was amazing.
Southern Catalonia is a beautiful area rich in history, with plenty to do and a real chance to get away from 'Little Britain' style resorts and experience real Spain. .
