Property Description • Beautifully restored traditional 17thC stone house, fully heated. •Set in a hillside hamlet offering tranquillity and spectacular panoramic views of the Ardèche mountains, vineyards and pine forests. • 15m from Ardèche Gorges, caves and pleasure flights & image above. • Walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, swimming, and sunbathing on sandy beaches bordering freshwater rivers. • Local village with bar, restaurants, and shops: boulangerie, wine co-operative and market, supermarket within 5mins. • The Retreat sleeps 6:Two large king-sized bedrooms, two WC, shower room, large lounge, kitchen with all mod cons, large roof terrace off the kitchen with wonderful views. • House heated for winter bookings.

Beautifully restored traditional 17thC stone house. • Petit Bijou sleeps 2 : The bed space is in the vented roof space and therefore can not be stood up in, however you can sit up quite comfortably. There is a velux window with a full blackout solar reflective sunblock blind for your comfort, or you can open it and lie back look at the stars at night if you wish! It contains one queen sized bed with mattress and fully sprung birch wooden slats for the base which is on the second floor mezzanine, on the first floor mezzanine is the lounge with a selection of seats including a sofa for your comfort, there is a beautiful bespoke handcrafted spiral stair case to the ground floor with the kitchen/diner, one WC, shower room with large walk in Italian shower. There is a small balcony outside the front door leading on to small private road in the hamlet. Within 20 minutes drive of several beautiful villages of character.Large outdoor market in nearby town (5km).Supermarket 4km

La Blacheyrette Hamlet house: Ardeche Retreat and Petit Bijoux are in a small hamlet called La Blacheyrette. La Blacheyrette is a hamlet of ten or so houses. The hamlet is in a valley up in the hills surrounded by vineyards. The house are in the heart of the Monts d’Ardeche regional national park and from the house you can walk straight into the local countryside, through the pine woods and take in the views of the Cevennes Mountains and the nearby Labeaume river, a tributary of the Ardeche river. Rosieres is the nearest village and is 2 miles down the hill. The village has a small cinema, bar, newsagents, post office, tourism office, a couple of restaurants (in the hotel and a pizzeria) and supermarket on the outskirts. Not forgetting of course the two boulangeries and the wine co-operative shop where you can arrange to take a tour of some of the 150 vineyards and watch the wine making process.The Cris Activities centre in Rosieres can organize a variety of activities.

Fantastic break in the Ardeche

Petit Bikou is absolutely perfect for a couple. We enjoyed a wonderful break. The gite is situated in a very rural part of the Ardeche allowing a great incite into Southern French life. The locals are extremely friendly and the village of Rosiere is beautiful. Close to local amenities (as long as you have a car!) and the views meters from the doorstep are breathtaking.

The Gite itself is adorned with ample facilities for a relaxing holiday; wonderfully laid out and perfect for a romantic break! The recommendations and information provided was fantastic and proved invaluable during our stay. Highly recommended!
