Between the sea and the mountains this nice duplex apartment is located in the pleasant Village of Cascais (Alcabideche) only 5min driving to the beach ( Estoril or Cascais for tan seekers ou Guincho for surfers and windsurfers), 5min to 3 golf courses (Penha Longa, Estoril and Quinta da Marinha), 5 min to Estoril Casino, 10min to Sintra Mountains, 15min to Sintra Village and 30min to Lisbon center and Airport. The picturesque towns of Estoril and Cascais with theirs pretty little palaces overlooking the sea have been inhabited from the remotest ages. From the 1930s, both Cascais and Monte Estoril have supported Estoril as the flagship of Portuguese tourism. The area was initially called the Sun Coast but is now known as the Estoril Coast. One of the most beautiful parts of the Estoril Coast is the countryside - a succession of hills dotted with pine trees and houses, sweeping down to the sea.

Located close to the sea and traditionally a fishing village, Cascais is a charming, historic town with many nice beaches and plenty to visit as well as restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. The world famous for surfing Guincho beach, which hosts the Windsurf World Championship League, is in Cascais. Cascais is also famous for the yachting club and race tracks, and, of course, the golf courses. It is close to Estoril, with the famous Casino and beautiful beaches. The romantic world heritage town of Sintra (old resort of Portuguese kings, World Heritage Town by UNESCO and the most beautiful place in the world in Lord Byron's opinion) is only a 15 minutes drive away. Cascais is also know for it’s horsebak riding activities, with many hippodromes and internacional Jumping events. Near to the apartment there is also the very well known Estoril Racing Circuit with it’s formula one internacional races and others. Many good golf courses in a 5 minutes drive range.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Bed linen and towels provided (with an extra cost of 35 euros). Bookings are normally for complete weeks although we will consider shorter stays, except during the high season. We only accept payment in currency in euros and we never accept credit cards or cheque.
    To secure bookings a 25% deposit is required; the outstanding balance is required on the first day of your stay. We also require a security deposit of 150 €, payable in cash at your arrival.This is fully refundable if nothing is broken or damaged and the apartment is returned in a clean and tidy condition.

Notes: The apartment is a duplex with 2 floor. On first floor there is a large 40 m2 living and dining room with a fireplace, large full equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a complete bathroom. On first floor there is another bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The first floor is a duplex, so the roof gets lower. The air conditioning is located ONLY in one of the double rooms. The remaining area doesn't have air-conditioning.

Golf information : In a 5 minutes driving distance from this apartment you can find a golfer’s paradise. The golf courses of Oitavos, Quinta da Marinha, Estoril and Penha Longa are nearby. And other golf courses, are within 30min range.

HorseBack Riding: Cascais is welll known for it's horse riding activities. Many riding centers in a 15 minutes drive range. Very nice promenades at the Sintra Mountains and riding lessons in Lusitanos. Internacional show jumping competition also occurs in Cascais. Bring your riding boots....

Getting there and around : Cascais can be reached by car from Lisbon airport in 20-30 minutes, via the A5 motorway or the more scenic Marginal road along the coast line, the Tagus estuary and the beaches. Alternatively you can take an airport bus from Arrivals direct to Cascais Bus Station. There is a variety of local shops and restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We will be happy to provide further tourist and transports information on your contact or arrival. We will also be happy to provide transfer (pricing must be negociated) from the airport..

Nice apartment, but nowhere near beach

We stayed here for one week in August. The apartment was very nice and well equipped and clean.

We were very disappointed that it is not near the sea as stated on the intro "3 bedrooms fully equipped 5 minutes to sea", more like 5 miles and only reached by car! You definitely need a car to be able to do or see anything.

If you just want a nice apartment, this is, just the area not very central.

as showed in the map that appears in the apartment add, the apartement is not at a walking distance to the beach, (it's more os less 5 minutes driving).

I also agree that a car is necessary to take the better from your holidays in this apartment.
