Jazmines is situated in La Reserva de Altea Hills, between the villages of Altea and Calpe (both 4 kilometres away). Altea is a beautiful mixture of old and new. It has retained much of its original Spanish charm and character. The blue and white domed church of La Virgin de la Consuelo, in the heart of the old town, is one of the symbolic images of the Costa Blanca. The old town is very special with its steep and narrow cobble-stoned streets and squares and wonderful craft shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. You can walk down from the old town to Alteas beach area, with its restaurants and bars, ranged along a pleasant palm-lined esplanade, and good water sports facilities. Calpe is a place where modern buildings and wide avenues harmonize with an ancient fishing village and the famous Costa Blanca landmark of the Penon de Ifach, the huge rock that rears up from the sea. Calpe has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, sandy beaches and excellent water sports facilities.

Welcome pack (tea, coffee, bread, etc.) will be provided and guests will be met on arrival. Weekly cleaning, with towels and linen changed.

Things to see and do in the region

Sun, sea and sand are excellent reasons to visit the Costa Blanca, but its attractions do not stop there! The Valencia region has a lot to offer and you will find lots of cultural and historical activities to enjoy, depending on your preferences and tastes. For some serious family fun there are four theme parks within 15 minutes driving distance from Altea. A brochure full of information about places to visit, markets, fiestas, beaches, golf courses, shopping, sports activities, restaurants, theme parks, etc. will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed.

We spent the last week of July and first week of August 2008 in this wonderful property. The owners description of the property is spot on !! Everything was as described and met all our expectations and more !! The attention to detail in the property was perfect, it was like home from home !! The property was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. It is situated in a residential area so a car is a must, however all amenities are only a very short distance away (about 5-10 mins in the car). The owner is a lovely lady who was really helpful when it came to booking as she advised on car hire and that it woud be cheaper to fly into Valencia instead of Alicante, all good tips !! I would definately recommend this property and we will definately be going back as there is so much to see and do in the Costa Blanca area. Altea market on a Tuesday morning is a must for shopaholics, and also well worth a visit is the "Fonts de Algar" these are a series of waterfalls up in the mountains that you can actually swim in. All the details of this day out and more can be found in the property. Highly recommended !!
